== Intro ==

I'm quite lucky I guess I never or seldom have any problems with my teeth. I do change my toothpaste on a regular basis, but have found of late that although I'm changing toothpaste I have not changed brand.

== Aquafresh ==

I've used Aquafresh for a while now since I do think it to be exceptional toothpaste in both it's cleaning and in it's ability to keep my mouth feeling fresh. Like most brands Aquafresh have several toothpastes to their range and I have pretty much tried them all. The newest to the range is the Extreme clean and whitening version, which so far I have found to be at least equally effective in my oral hygiene.

The taste however is slightly less minty and I have found there to be an after taste, which I have as yet not determined. The after taste is quite brief in its appearance, and although most of the time it is not a problem, sometimes it does seem a bit overpowering and insipid. The toothpaste is the usual red white and blue strips of the Aquafresh range and in use its does foam substantially. It seems to work well and as I said tastes a bit less minty.

It claims to help in the whitening of the teeth, which I thought might be useful being that I am a smoker. I've been using it for a good few months now and to be honest have seen little of the whitening effect. It's usual price of around £2.49 has been reduced in ASDA and other stores to around the £1.20 mark which is a great saving. The tube also is a little larger than the normal size so the value is there.

== Summary ==

I like this toothpaste and can for the most part put up with the after taste my wife says does not exist. It cleans my teeth well and freshens my mouth, I'm not so convinced of the whitening powers it claims to have, but considering all things including the price it's a pretty good and for now reasonably priced toothpaste.
