I'm not really that fussy when it comes to toothpaste, the only thing I'm really that bothered about is that I can stomach the taste, so I tend to just buy and try whatever's on offer or the best price when I go to buy it. I bought this on some kind of offer several months ago but the usual price is around £2.40 depending on where you buy it.

It comes in the usual plastic squeezy tube and annoyingly has a screw off lid which is just inconvenient especially when there are people in the household who seem incapable of ever putting the lid back on! The toothpaste comes out easily though and doesn't take too much effort even when there's not much left in the tube.

The paste, as we come top expect from Aquafresh, is white with red and blue stripes running through it. It doesn't smell overly strong but has a nice fresh minty scent. Unlike with some other toothpastes I do find that the suggested pea-sized amount is sufficient. The taste is quite strange really, it isn't as minty as I expected and has a kind of herbal taste which leaves a very odd and quite bitter aftertaste in my mouth after brushing.

I find this does clean really well when used with my electric toothbrush and my teeth are left feeling squeaky clean and looking shiny and sparkling. It foams up quite a bit in use but not so much that I end up with foam dribbling down my chin like I have with other toothpastes in the past!

The only real problem that I have with it is that it doesn't leave my breath feeling very fresh and this is one of the main selling points which is on the front of the tube, it's supposed to give '80%' cleaner breath', but I didn't feel it was any better than other toothpastes, and worse than many. I was also left with the bitter aftertaste which also served to make my breath feel less fresh. I haven't seen any whitening benefits from this toothpaste either, so I don't think it really lives up to it's claims.

All in all I'm not overly impressed with this toothpaste, it does clean well enough but it doesn't do what it claims it will and the taste is not great, so I won't be buying it again.
