Advantages: Just the same as it used to be
Disadvantages: None
Aquafresh is one of them products i remember using as a kid when i needed convincing that brushing my teeth was actually a good idea, and have always used for no particular reason other toothpastes since then.
On my most recent visit to Asda it was on offer at the price of 4 tubes for £3. This was far better value than most of the other competing products so picked up 4. I believe the regular price is around £1.20 for a 50ml tube. The packaging is the branded with the usual Aquafresh logo and writing and a background of white and blue which i presume is trying to look "fresh and minty". Being that all the Aquafresh products have a similar design they are all usually displayed together and easy to find.
Upon using Aquafresh it was everything i seemed to remember using as a kid. The appearence of the tootpaste remains unchanged with the red, white and blue stripes, probably the most interesting colour scheme toothpaste has seen but somehow still looks inviting.
Upon dispensing the tootpaste onto my brush I instantly noticed that the end of the tube was a little less in diameter than most other toothpastes. Although this results in a bit less tootpaste on my brush i never noticed and am hoping this will go a bit further than other products.
The taste of the toothpaste is definately both Fresh and Minty, and leaves your teeth feeling clean and smooth to run your tongue over. Compared to other toothpastes the taste is not the strongest, but it does not leave an overpowering taste in your mouth for ages afterwards which i like.
Overall impressed with Aquafresh and glad it hasn't changed.
Summary: Great all round
