This is a review on Aquafresh Fresh and Minty toothpaste, which has been my toothpaste of choice for some 10 years now.
::::: The product :::::
The product claims to not only clean teeth, but to also strengthen them and actively fight plaque. They call this their "triple protection formula" - sounds like something out of a spy movie, never mind from toothpaste! Hmmmm, but if this toothpaste can protect my teeth as well as our MI5 protects our country, then I'm certainly up for giving it a try. It is packaged in a bright blue box which gives you information about use, ingredients and company information- all pretty standard! The box is quite flashy though, with some interesting holographic effects on it. Definitely eye-catching. They do not recommend you use this toothpaste if you take fluoride supplements, as I believe it contains a concentration of around 1440ppm of fluoride in itself.
::::: The Effect :::::
Well, all I can say is that I've never had any major dental work done in my life, and I assume that is in no small part due to a frequent brushing regime with this toothpaste. I like the way it makes my breath smell, however it does make food taste funny if you eat it too soon afterwards. I am always complimented by my dentists on the state of my teeth, and as I only brush twice daily (as opposed to after every meal like my mother does) it must be due to the dental hygiene products I employ. I'll be sticking with this toothpaste for some time to come I think.
::::: The Price:::::
I usually pay around £1 for this toothpaste in a 100ml tube.... You can pay a few pence over or under this mark if you shop around, but it's really not worth it unless you're seriously counting the pennies. I believe this is excellent value for a product that lasts about two months on bi-daily usage and has such great benefits for your oral health. I really couldn't ask for more
::::: My Opinions :::::
I would recommend, without hesitation, this toothpaste to anybody. I am not sure how useful it would be for individuals who suffer from sensitive teeth, as I have never had to combat this. However, for anybody looking for a good, inexpensive toothpaste to maintain good oral hygiene I think they couldn't lose out giving this little wonder product a go.
Summary: My favourite toothy treat
