I bought this in the belief that my teeth would be whiter and brighter, thanks to the advertising campaigns - but did it deliver?

Packaging:

The toothpaste comes boxed, like most, and has a screw top lid.

Using the product:

The toothpaste is easy to apply to the toothbrush and white in colour. It has a clean minty smell and taste. However, immediately the taste of bicarbonate of soda overtakes the taste of mint when brushing - this takes some getting used to, and some may find this taste unpleasant.

It is quite gritty, and the product doesn't foam up like standard toothpastes, the product just gets more watery in the mouth.

Throughout brushing I find the soda taste really overpowering and almost salty, so most of the time I don't brush for the full 2 minutes- choosing to spit it out early.

Results:

My mouth does feel clean after using this, but it leaves a salty, soda taste in the mouth.

With regards to whiteness, my teeth look a bit brighter and whiter - nothing spectactular, I understand toothpastes can't work miracles like the dentist. However I do feel that tooth whiteness that this toothpaste gives can be achieved with a good clean with standard toothpastes.

To be perfectly honest, I wasn't able to completely finish the tube of toothpaste in one go. Because of the taste I ocassionally reverted back to bog standard toothpaste to give my mouth a break!


Price:

I bought this from a poundshop, so it is quite cheap. It is also available from Boots/Superdrug and supermarkets from I slightly higher price.

Overall:

As I feel it makes my teeth look just as good as a standard toothpaste, and tastes horrible, I will only buy this if there are no other toothpastes available - which is unlikely!

The toothpaste may well deliver results with consistent and persistent use, but I just couldn't do that as the taste was unpleasant for me.
