Advantages: Brilliant, soft brush, easy to grip
Disadvantages: Tongue cleaner is rubbish!
When it comes to toothbrushes I usually opt for a Colgate one or some sort of branded one I have heard of. However the other day I needed a new toothbrush, was in Asda and picked this one up and not only did I pick it up because it was cheap but because this particular one is meant for sensitive teeth (which I have along with an enamel problem) and this is also described as a soft brush and this was the only one I could see that was soft bristled that I could see which is what I really wanted.
The Packaging:
The brush came on a cardboard backing with a see-through plastic cover over the actual brush to keep it clean and in place. I went for the pink and white coloured toothbrush so the card itself the brush came on in my case was a pink coloured one and on that we are told that it is Protect Toothbrush 'Sensitive, Soft' and that it is an Asda soft tapered bristle brush designed for sensitive gums, that it has a small head size and incorporates a tongue cleaner on the back of the brush head. On the other side of the card we are told a bit about the product and the features the brush has to it and how to use it, cautions are given and contact details for Asda are listed. Nice enough packaging this is and informative enough as well and packaging colour depends on the brush colour you opt for and this was also available in blue and green when I bought mine.
The Brush Itself:
This brush is simply lovely quality! As I stated earlier my brush is white and light pink in colour and it has a nice tapered and long handle to it with a white soft head to the top of it with a light pink tinge to the outside of the bristles. This has a an ice rubber feel to it when using it and is easy and none slip to grip, the brush head is slightly flexible so I don't end up brushing my teeth too hard and the brushes although soft are very effective indeed and none malting. Although he brush head is described as small it really isn't too small or my mouth. To the back of the brush there are raised lines and little bumps meant to be used against your tongue to help clean it which is the only thing I can slate about this brush head as it does nothing for me at all!
From the looks of this brush to its ease of handling and effectiveness this is simply a really good quality brush and just what I was after so I'm well pleased with this purchase and will certainly buy this again when this one gives up the ghost in about 3 months time!
Only available from Asda stores costing just £1.00 a toothbrush!
