Advantages: Comfortable to use, relaly help with keeping the mouth clean and gums healthy

Disadvantages: Expensive and you don't get enough brushes for the money

My dentist has been telling me for years that I should be flossing on a daily basis and whilst I do try and do it inevitably I get bored and slip back in to my old bad ways. When buying some Corsodyl mouthwash which was on three for two I picked up these interdental brushes as my third products instead of getting another mouthwash as I wanted to try them out. I have used interdental brushes before but I thought that the Corsodyl ones might be better for my gums which I do have problems with.

The interdental brushes are made of rubber as opposed to metal and are like little matchsticks with bristles on them to remove plaque and bits of food from in between the teeth. Obviously they are ultra thin so that they can go in and out of between the teeth with ease but as with most people some of my gaps are smaller than other and with these I did have trouble getting the brush in and out without using some force and the brushes did end up bending out of shape.

I could really feel the difference when using the brushes and it amazed me just how much gunk would come out of the spaces in between my teeth even though I am quite good with my dental hygiene.
My whole mouth felt cleaner after using these and I can honestly say that my gums felt less tender than they normally do which I think was die to being properly cleaned and also with the bristles massaging them.

As said I have used interdental brushes before which are usually made from metal and have really stiff brushes on them. I found these much nicer to use and they didn't hurt my gums or cause them to bleed like those brushes have done. Also the lack of metal really made a difference in comfort when it came to using the brushes on teeth which have fillings because using the metal interdental brushes can be really uncomfortable.

The only problem with these brushes as far as I am concerned is that you need to use a new brush every time and as you only get 20 brushes in a packet it makes them on the expensive side which considering they cost just under £4 a packet doesn't make them very economical especially considering that you can buy some generic interdental brushes for as little as £1.50 a packet.

Summary: Good interdental brushes but work out expensive
