Price and Availability
Anyone who reads my reviews regularly will know that I buy nearly all of my toiletries from Home Bargains as it works out such a lot cheaper. As a result of this it's very rare that we'll use the same product more than once and try lots of different varieties from lots of different brands. A mouthwash we tried recently was Oral B Anti Plaque which I managed to pick up for £1 for a 500ml bottle. The mouthwash costs £2.65 in Boots which is a lot more expensive than I paid but about an average price when compared to other mouthwashes.
Packaging and Product Information
As I mentioned before the mouthwash comes in a 500ml clear plastic bottle which a white screw top lid. The clear bottle is handy as you can see the mouthwash through although this is a usual bottle type for mouthwash. The label is mainly blue which matches with the colour of the mouthwash although it also includes a splash of pink, it's nothing special.
The mouthwash is alcohol free and suitable for anybody above the age of six. The mouthwash claims to:
Fight plaque formation.
Helps protect against cavities.
Soft and gentle formulation.
My Experience
The cap is child proof which is handy and inside there are two markers for 15ml and 20ml. It is recommended that you use 15ml of the mouthwash to rinse your mouth so I'm not really sure why the 20ml line is there. The 15ml is a good amount to swill you mouth with and the taste is very fresh and minty. The taste is very much like when you first bite into chewing gum, there is a lovely burst of freshness. My mouth always feels lovely and clean after use and I've found that the freshness does stay in my mouth for quite a long while.
I recently wrote about a Colgate Mouthwash that didn't leave any freshness at all. In my opinion Oral B have got this one just right. The taste is quite strong, and there is a little bit of a sting but not as much as some mouthwashes, I find Listerine particularly overpowering.
Overall
For me, Oral B Anti Plaque is the perfect mouthwash, the intensity of the flavour is just right it's not too strong but the freshness still lasts. I managed to pick up another bottle from Home Bargains but I probably would pay full price because it is a great mouthwash.
Summary: 5/5 for me, the perfect mouthwash.
