Advantages: easy to use, good size.

Disadvantages: awakward for back tooth cleaning

It's really not fair that menopausal women can not only suffer from 'womens' problems' but may also develop other effects such as gum disease/ receding of the gums. I've always tried to look after my teeth & gums & have a great sonic toothbrush, a good mouthwash & always floss before going to bed.

I usually buy the floss on a roll but when I saw these packs of Oral B sticks in one of our local pound shops I thought I'd give them a try for a change.

They are packaged as shown in the picture & there are a generous amount in the neat white plastic container. Once opened the lid pops back on so that they don't 'escape' & remain hygienically safe.

There's a subtle smell of mint in these wooden sticks but you don't really get the taste when you use them which is fine by me as I always rinse afterwards.

They are a good size & are easy to use - one end is thick whilst they taper down a narrow (other) end which means you can alternate depending on the spacing between your teeth. All you need to do is make sure that you're not too rough with them when using as I've found that they can break quite easily.

I found that these were fine & did a good job of the front top & bottom teeth but they were quite awkward to use on the back teeth as you don't get the flexibility that you do with a cotton / fibre floss. I ended up doing some teeth with the Oral B then reaching for the floss which made the whole process quite time-consuming - hey, I'd rather spend time on this though than having to pay the dentist!

summary
~
- neatly packed in a discreet & handy container.
- nice subtle mint taste.
- good size & easy to use on front teeth, more tricky on the back ones though.
- good value & would recommend.

Summary: recommended as an addition to fibre dental floss
