I am quite fanatical about my teeth, and have been considering a range of options. Deciding not to take drastic measures, I managed to pick up this 'Pearl Drops:Party Sparkle' whitening polish. Unbelievably, I found it in my local pound store and so only spent £1 on the toothpolish.
The packaging is enticing enough for obvious reasons, due to it's silver sheen and exclusive looking packaging, and so being a gullable consumer, chose to make a purchase. Not only the appeal of the packaging, but the fact it was just £1 was reason enough.
To be quite frank, I was not expecting much from the product, yet can honestly say I was fairly pleased with the outcome. After just one use, I noticed results! This is great as usually, with other whitening products, they are advertised to show results after 7 days (or more) of daily use.
I noticed my teeth were instantly shinier (living up to its name: 'Party Sparkle'), and seemed to reflect a lot of light instantly creating the impression of whiter teeth. Despite not being advertised as removing stains on your tooth surfaces, I was as time went on growingly disappointed. It did not improve the whiteness of my teeth, and instead created the illusion of whiter teeth by making them reflect more light and appear shinier.
It is not a terrible product, however i found the results to be somewhat mediocre and pointless, as the sparkle on your teeth wears off after just a few hours. Despite this, I would still recommend it to those who do not have incredibly stained teeth and just want an extra push to a shiny and polished appearance, yet would strongly advise those with very yellow or stained teeth to steer clear, and pay a bit more for a product which will give you better results.
I picked up a 50ml tube of this from my local pound shop for a pound, obviously!
The toothpaste comes in the usual Pearl Drops packaging which is a "cap down" bottle. The toothpaste is an icy blue colour with sparkly particles of glitter (or something else that is sparkly!). The toothpaste itself foams up very well. It has a pleasant minty aroma to it that smells very inviting. The taste of the toothpaste is also very pleasant. It does taste minty but it has an extra kick to it and it's this "kick" that helps to banish bad breath, leaving your whole mouth feeling fresh and clean. It gives you confidence too.
After using this toothpaste my teeth and gums feel cleaner and fresher and the minty aftertaste lingers in my mouth for a good while after use. My breath is fresher and my teeth look sparkly and white. I would say that it takes around one week before you start to notice a difference to your teeth. The toothpaste helps to remove stains caused by food or drink (or smoking) without stripping the enamel off your teeth. The toothpaste is gentle on and the gums and it doesn't leave my gums feeling sore and/ or irritated.
I would recommend this toothpaste to people who want whiter brighter teeth. The toothpaste is only a 50ml tube but for a pound it's a bargain. You need to use it twice a day but you only need a pea sized amount each time as the toothpaste is very creamy and foamy.
A great whitening toothpaste.
I recently started to worry about the colour of my teeth after viewing some photographs of myself. I had never really noticed before that some of my teeth were starting to appear a little discoloured. The teeth at the sides of my mouth were especially a lot more creamy yellow than the front teeth. I ended up purchasing some Pearl Drops Intensive Professional Whitening toothpaste to try and solve the problem and after a few weeks I noticed a considerable difference in the appearance of my teeth. The product really helped even out the shade over all of my teeth and make them appear whiter and brighter in general. When I returned to buy the same product the shop only had this variety of Pearl Drops in stock, so I bought it instead. This product is called Pearl Drops Party Sparkle Whitening Toothpolish.
I managed to buy this at Poundland where, not surprisingly, it cost £1. I recommend trying places like this otherwise the product can be considerably more expensive. The product comes in a cardboard box which has a great design showing a laughing lady whose teeth look fantastically white. The box is printed with instructions for use, contact information and some text regarding the properties of the toothpolish.
The brand infer that this toothpolish is as good as a professional whitening kit or a cosmetic dental treatment in helping to whiten teeth. They say that this toothpolish contains "micro-polishers and optical brighteners" to help remove stains from things like cigarette smoke, wine and juices, tea, coffee etc.
Inside the box there is a long transparent 50ml sized bottle which is trianglar in shape and which sits on it's lid. The ridged lid is a tad too small in my opinion but it keeps the bottle steady. It's easy to remove with a screw off action and can be fitted back in place fairly easily.
The toothpolish is visible through the clear bottle and is a bright blue gel style paste. To use this you simply apply to a toothbrush like you would any other kind of toothpaste. The gel is easy to dispense and rather gluey in consistency. It sits on your toothbrush without melting down through the bristles.
The gel has a fresh minty aroma which is pleasant. When I put it into my mouth it does not feel shockingly cold but it still makes my mouth feel instantly refreshed by a cool minty air. The mint flavour is just right for me - not too strong but powerful enough to taste great and leave my mouth smelling great too.
The gel lathers up into a bubble-rich foam unlike the Pearl Drops Professional Whitening that I've been using until recently. I do like a toothpolish that foams up as it can feel like a mouthwash and paste in one - refreshing the whole mouth, top of throat and tongue. The paste does not feel gritty but if you look closely at the gel you can see it's infused with a kind of silver shimmer which looks pretty and sparkley.
The gel is performing very well and I am being completely honest when I say I've noticed a real difference in the shade of my teeth. I wasn't convinced these Pearl Drop products would achieve anything much but they have definitely made my yellow teeth whiter and brighter. I've been keeping note of how my smiles look whenever I get my photo taken and there is a notible difference - all of my teeth on display look white, the same shade of shiny white and they look clean and bright. I'm feeling much more confident about smiling around people now and I know that Pearl Drops have become a permanant part of my mouth care routine. I am currently using this 'Party Sparkle' as well as my normal toothpaste rather than as a replacement. Since the bottles are quite small I feel I would use this quite quickly if I used it like a regular toothpaste. I therefore target my problem teeth and then finish off the rest of the mouth after first using an ordinary toothpaste.
I really like this 'Party Sparkle' Pearl Drops as it makes me feel a bit more blinged up and fancy! It is managing to reduce stains on my teeth but be warned you may have to use the products for a few weeks before you really can see a difference.
This product is suitable for children aged 8 and over and adults. It contains Sodium monofluorophosphate.
I'm quite fanatical when it comes to my teeth and I am a little obsessed about keeping them looking white and clean. As a teenager I wore a brace and this has left me with very white teeth but because they are so straight I feel this actually emphasises my teeth hence my obsessiveness. Since falling pregnant (again) I'm making full use of my free dental treatments however there are many products especially for teeth whitening that I would prefer not to use or shouldn't use, coupled with the fact I'm trying to save a few pennies so do not want to be spending a great deal on whitening toothpastes and treatments costing over £10 for a small tube. So when browsing my local Wilkinson's store I decided to pick up some Pearl Drops Party Sparkle
*** Pearl Drops Party Sparkle Tooth Polish ***
Pearl Drops Party Sparkle Tooth Polish is described to be "a unique formula with micro-polishers and optical brighteners that instantly brighten and polish your teeth, leaving you with a stain free smile.
Perfect for a party! An instant sparkle and shine to give you confidence for your night ahead."
Pearl Drops contains fluoride to strengthen tooth enamel and protects teeth against decay. Although it claims to whiten teeth it does not contain any bleach, harsh abrasives or does not have an acidic pH.
The product comes in a clear triangular shaped tube and stands upright on the lid. Inside you can see the green coloured tooth polish inside. The lid is large and screws off but needs to be screwed back on again to stand the tube up.
The Pearl Drops Party Sparkle Tooth Polish is sold in Boots, Superdrug, Wilkinson's B&M's, Asda, Tesco and Sainsbury's. It is available from a wide number of retailers in store and online too.
A 50ml bottle of Pearl Drops Party Sparkle Tooth Polish cost me £2.00 in Wilkinson's. However the same product is sold in Boots for £5.10!! Therefore this is a massive saving and it is worth shopping around at discount stores if you are looking to purchase this product. As far as tooth whitening treatments and products go this is a mid-priced product if you compare it at the price Boots sells it for with other treatments of a similar kind as many products are in the region of £10+.
The directions for use on the back of the tube are "for best results brush daily after or in place of your normal toothpaste".
I used this on a morning after brushing with my usual toothpaste, so effectively I was brushing my teeth twice. Because the plastic tube is quite hard you do need to use quite hard squeeze in order to dispense product onto your toothbrush. I used the Pearl Drops Party Sparkle Tooth Polish as I would my normal toothpaste. I dispensed a pea sized amount of the clear green coloured Ice Mint Gel and as soon as the toothpaste was on the toothbrush I could smell this was a very minty toothpaste product.
I brushed my teeth with the Pearl Drops Party Sparkle Tooth Polish as I would my normal toothpaste for 2 minutes then rinsed. I did find that whilst brushing my teeth the product is extremely minty and has quite a tingly feeling my tongue and gums.
Once I had rinsed my teeth and mouth felt extremely clean and fresh. Immediately after brushing my mouth was left tingling and had a cool icy feel to it but I could still taste the spearmint taste. There was a very strong mint taste in my mouth which lasted for around 30 minutes after brushing and my breath smelt extremely fresh.
After brushing with the Pearl Drops Party Sparkle Tooth Polish my teeth feel very clean and smooth. I feel the product is called tooth polish as it leaves teeth with a real shine and when you run your tongue over your teeth they feel smooth. At the same time I purchased this product I had also bought the Pearl Drops Advanced Whitening Tooth Polish and had used this tube prior to the Party Sparkle. I feel the Party Sparkle gives a much cleaner and smoother feeling to teeth and teeth do not have any coatings left on them the tooth enamel just feels very smooth.
From reading the description of the Pearl Drops Party Sparkle Tooth Polish I do feel this gives the expectation of "instant" results and on the first few uses my teeth did look clean and smooth but not really whiter in anyway so I think this may be a disappointment for some.
My experience of the first Pearl Drops Tooth Polish product I had used had been very disappointing however with regard to the tooth whitening effects I do feel the Party Sparkle is more effective and I could see an improvement in the whiteness of my teeth. I used the 50ml tube until it ran out so probably daily for a month and after around 2-3 weeks I could see a difference to the colour of my teeth. My teeth are quite white from previous whitening treatments and regular visits to the dentist. My top teeth are free from stains however there are a few stains on my bottom teeth from tea and coffee drinking. The previous Pearl Drops product made no difference to the stains on my bottom teeth but the Party Sparkle did lighten these stains on my bottom teeth slightly whilst keeping my top teeth stain free. The results were not dramatic and only I could notice this difference but even so the product did have some "tooth whitening" properties.
After my previous experience with Pearl Drops products I had very low expectations for the Party Sparkle product however I was pleasantly surprised with the results and did feel after one month of daily use my teeth looked slightly whiter and the stains on my teeth had been lightened very slightly although not completely removed. My teeth are only very slightly stained therefore I'm unsure as to how effective it would be on teeth that are more stained and it may not produce the same results.
At the ordinary selling price of £5.10 I think this is quite expensive as the Pearl Drops Party Sparkle Tooth Polish is not brilliant and does not work miracles however the price discount retailers sell this product at (£2.00) makes this a value for money option for keeping teeth white and stain free.
As toothpaste this does in fact have a "polishing" effect that makes teeth have a shiny smooth appearance and feel and is very fresh. Although it does need to be considered that I was using this on top of my usual toothpaste so effectively brushing my teeth for 2 minutes longer every day, so I would have expected my teeth to feel cleaner anyway. I could notice existing stains getting lighter and new stains were prevented. My only slight reservation with this product is the description gives the impression that it will have instant effects whereas it took 2 weeks of daily use before I noticed any real results.
A satisfactory tooth whitening product just won't produce instant tooth whitening miracles!!
This is my go-to toothpaste for lovely white teeth. I tend to use this product before nights out because it really does make teeth extra white. I don't use it as my everyday toothpaste because I don't feel it particularly helps to clean my mouth, teeth & gums, but only makes them whiter (also I don't think it is made for that purpose).
I do like the packaging. It comes in a small transparent tub containing the bright blue toothpaste. However I don't feel that you get much product in one tub and I think it runs out quite quickly, so I always wait until it is on offer (which is quite frequently in boots/superdrug).
When applying the toothpaste I find that you need quite a large sized dollop on your toothpaste to feel as though it is actually doing anything to your teeth. Once you get a foam going in your mouth it's great, it has a minty taste (like most toothpastes) but id say it is slightly sweeter and once you rinse out your mouth you are left with a bright white smile!
Whenever I have used this product before nights out I look at photos the day afterwards and can't believe how white my teeth are. The effects are not permanent and will probably last a night. This is a temporary whitening tool and does not claim to whiten teeth permanently.
I would definitely recommend this product as it makes teeth so white after use! However I give it 3 stars because you don't get much toothpaste in one tube and you need to use quite a bit on your toothpaste for it to have any effect.
I was looking in my local pound shop to find some new toiletries, and spied this product on the shelf. I was attracted to the silver box covered in stars! As I needed toothpaste anyway, and had heard good things about the Pearl Drops brand, I decided to purchase.
This 'Pearl Drops Party Sparkle Whitening Toothpolish' comes in a box bearing a picture of a smiling woman, the brand name and the name of the product. It is described as "the finishing touch for a brighter, whiter smile". The instructions are written on the side of the box in several different languages. In English they read: "Brush your teeth with Party Sparkle to help remove discoloration or stains like red wine, coffee or nicotine and brighten up your smile. Unique formula with micro-polishers and optical brighteners polishes and brightens your teeth to leave you feeling confident for the night ahead". The product is a 50ml tube and will last 6 months once opened. There is a list of ingredients on the bottom of the box.
Inside the box, there is a clear plastic tube which stands on its end and tapers down to a larger ridged lid. Because it tapers down, the product sinks to the bottom and is easy to get out of the tube - a very good design. The tube is sqeezy enough, but sturdy and it is easy to see how much of the toothpaste you have left. The tube is decorated with little silver stars and is altogether the nicest toothpaste tube I've ever had decorating my shelf!
Inside the tube, the toothpaste is a light blue colour with little sparkles in - very pretty. As toothpaste it works like any other. You squeeze some out onto your toothbrush and brush your teeth! It has a pleasant minty taste. The tube has lasted around five weeks when used twice a day, although towards the end I had to cut the tube open as the product became very hard to squeeze out.
Does it whiten teeth? Well, not really. Perhaps I needed to use it for longer than five weeks, but I couldn't notice any difference in my teeth at all. This is not good as this is what the product is marketed for!
I'm going to give the product three stars, as it does the job as a normal toothpaste, but in the future I'll stick to normal, cheaper toothpaste.
There is nothing quite like a beautiful smile and nothing quite like less than perfect teeth to ruin it. We are bombarded with dazzling celebrity smiles everywhere we go now, mentioning no names Simon Cowell, and us mere mortals are struggling to keep up. Without Simons pay cheque it is not always easy.
One of the cheaper ways, to get a whiter, brighter smile is to buy a whitening toothpaste. There are many brands selling this type of product today but one of the more eye catching varieties is Pearl Drops Party Sparkle Whitening Toothpolish. Not only does the name fill you with shimmering, dazzling hope but the packaging stands out from the crowd as well.
Pearl Drops is the UK's leading whitening toothpolish brand and the company has a long heritage and expertise in effectively developing teeth whitening products. The brand is loved and respected by make up artists, stylists and celebrities, including Trinny and Susanna and it is trusted to give effective and gentle whitening.
The 50ml bottle comes in a toothlike shape with a circular lid on which it can be stood. This means there will be no frustrations trying to remove the product when it is coming to an end. It is called a toothpolish although it is actually just like a toothpaste and is to be used in the same way.
You can pick up the product for between £2 and £6 depending on where you buy it and whether you catch it on offer. It is available from Boots and Superdrug as well as being widely available online.
Pearl Drops Party Sparkle Toothpolish promises you a beaming white smile and therefore a glowing confidence. It claims that it is the unique formula which contains micro polishers and optical brighteners that you can thank for your instantly brighter smile and polished teeth.
Pearl Drops also promises that it contains no harsh abrasives, bleaches or acidic pH which means that it shouldn't strip the enamel of your teeth as some whiteners can. It contains fluoride which will strengthen your teeth and protect them against decay. This product is not suitable for children under 7.
This product claims that it will leave you with a stain free smile, getting rid of discolorations such as red wine, tea or tobacco just by brushing your teeth. It seems much simpler and cheaper than spending time and money on a cosmetic dental whitening saga. It promises to be gentle enough to use daily so you can use it as you would use your everyday toothpaste. If you prefer, you can also use it in combination with your usual toothpaste.
In my opinion, the toothpaste may marginally whiten your teeth but not to the extent that anybody has ever mentioned to me. I haven't found a whitening toothpaste that does a better job but just the same, you won't get a Cowell bright smile. The toothpaste has a pleasant taste but does not leave your breath minty fresh so I used to use mine in additional to my regular toothpaste.
The biggest problem I found with this product was that it hurt my teeth. After a few days of using it, my teeth became incredibly sensitive and a sharp pain shooting across them all. I have had the exact same problem with most whitening products so maybe my teeth are not suitable for this type of thing. But something to be wary of nonetheless. All in all, I find that this product will subtly whiten your teeth but it is nothing groundbreaking so don't expect miracles.
Ingredients: Aqua, Sorbitol, Hydrated Silica, Glycerin, Sodium Hexametaphosphate, Sodium Lauryl Sulfate, PEG-12, Aroma, Sodium Monofluorophosphate, Cellulose Gum, Sodium Saccharin, Mica, Cinnamal, Benzyl Alcohol, CI 42053, CI 77891. Contains Sodium Monofluorophosphate (1000 ppm F)
Many years ago when I was a lot younger I always used to use Pearl Drops paste on my teeth when I was going out partying, now this was many years ago I may add but I always used to like the feel of my teeth after using it as it was a really soft feeling and I just always loved using it and a couple of weeks ago while on a visit to my pound shop, I noticed this Pearl Drops Party Sparkle for just a £1 and thought I would buy it and give it a go.
It comes in a nice silver pretty attractive box, it has a woman on the front showing a beaming smile with pearly white teeth, inside the box is a transparent plastic bottle with a flip top and inside this bottle is the paste, which is pale blue in colour, it is a nice gel and the texture is very soft, smooth and it is very easy to squeeze out of the bottle onto the toothbrush with ease, the bottle is also attractive with little silver stars on the front and it does look nice in the bathroom.
Once it is brushed onto the teeth in the same way as toothpaste, it has a nice taste, it is quite a mild mint flavour but it does not burn or sting the teeth or gums, it is very easy to brush around the teeth and it does not have too much foam in the mouth and it can be brushed for a couple of minutes and then rinsed in the usual way, and the paste is removed from the gums without any problem at all, the paste whitens the teeth a little better than the ordinary toothpaste but I would not say it would ever give instant results in my opinion, I just think it gives a nice glow to the teeth and makes them a little more glossy and it is the feel of the enamel on my teeth that I really love too.
The bottle size is a good one of 50ml and this paste gives a finishing touch for the teeth and my teeth feel nice and smooth when I run my tongue over them after they have been cleaned and they feel nicely polished and refreshing, it contains a unique formula with micro polishers and optical brighteners to polish and whiten your teeth, to help discoloration of stains on the teeth such as coffee, red wine, tea and cola, and I do drink quite a fair bit of cola and this paste does help to remove some of which appear, until I can go to the dentist for a deep clean.
I have used this morning and night and it has made my teeth feel a little better but when I started using it, after the many years I had not bought it, it really did remind me of my younger days and how my teeth felt back then, and I am pleased I saw it for the low price as I still find it incredibly a good paste for my teeth.
This is not recommended for children under the age of 7 years old.
What I like about this paste is that the cap can be used as the base as I have placed it cap down and the paste is ready to dispense from the nozzle, which is a tiny hole and the paste is soft enough to be squeezed through this hole onto the toothbrush and the amount needed to do the work is only a small amount to be effective but instant results do not happen over night with this one, it does take a few weeks to see the results but they do appear slowly and improve as the days go along.
I highly recommend this whitening paste for anyone to try as I think you would not be disappointed with the taste and quality and look out for the cheaper prices as they can vary and a pound shop would probable stock it much cheaper as it did in my area.
I give this one 5 stars.
Thank you for reading my review.
I do tend to chop and change my toothpaste often for no reason in particular but I think that I am always looking for that prefect toothpaste that will give me fabulous pearly whites!
I have used pearl drops before but it was a long time ago and as this was on offer for just £1.00 in my local home bargains store I decided to give it a try.
Pearl Drops the brand have been around for a long time and when I used it previously it was just a plain white toothpaste but things have moved on since then and its now sparkly! No I am not that easily pleased really.
The toothpaste comes in a sliver box with a very nice white set of white teeth on the front and the words party sparkle.
The toothpaste claims to remove stains like coffee, nicotine and red wine better than other brands of toothpaste.
It claims that unique formula with micro- polishers and optical brighteners polishes and brightens your teeth to leave you feeling confident.
The bottle of the toothpaste comes in the unique style of pearl drops which if you have never seen it before is a bit like a thin triangle with and it stands on the round lid
The plastic bottle has a iridescent look to it and you can see the toothpaste inside which is an attractive aqua colour.
====== Using The Toothpaste ======
The cap is easy to screw off and squeezing the bottle was easy enough and allowed me to get just the right amount rather than some other brands where you end up with lots on your toothbrush and end up wasting most of it.
The paste has a minty taste to it although I was pleasantly surprised that it was not a strong mint taste as I do find some minty toothpaste can have a slight burning sensation and while I know some people like a really strong taste I personally don't.
====== Cleaning Teeth ======
I found that using the toothpaste gave my mouth a really fresh taste and cleaned my teeth well and I felt that it got to every part and as it's quite mild I was not in a hurry to get it done and spit it out so that might be the reason they actually got a better clean.
My teeth also felt very smooth and thoroughly cleaned after I had finished.
====== Removing Stains And Whitening Teeth ======
I do not drink red wine but I do like a nice cup of coffee and I do smoke so I was looking forward to seeing what a difference this toothpaste would make.
I have to be honest and say that I really did notice a difference in my teeth even after using this once, I am quite lucky in that my teeth are quite white to start with but I noticed that they had more of a shine to them and certainly appeared less dull than they had before.
It really did clear any stains that were on my teeth and while I am not sure any body would notice a dramatic difference it was enough that I could tell and feel a difference and gave me more confidence in my smile.
Not having the whitest teeth in the world ( nor the yellowest I might add!), I am always on the look out for whitening agents to see if they will make any diffference.
I always use some sort of Pearl Drops after giving my teeth a good clean, as I think this just helps give them a nudge in the right direction of whiteness. So I was really pleased when I was in my 99p shop and I discovered this Pearl Drops Party Sparkle. I knew that this was a lot dearer in the other shops, which I later found out that it ranges from £2.99-£3.99 so a good saving here.
It is quite eyecatching as it comes in a shiny silver box with of course a woman with the perfect smile on the front. On opening you will find ( if you have used Pearl Drops before)that this is completely different to the usual Pearl Drops. This one comes on a see-through plastic tall bottle, which shows the turquoise toothpolish inside. This has a large screw on lid which it sits on, which is great as this means that it is ready to squeeze out straight away. I must add this is a very attractive bottle to have sitting in your bathroom as with the turquoise colour coming through the clear plastic, the bottle has tiny silver stars on the front and the word "sparkle" is in silver as well.
Now I must point out that this is a polish and not a toothpaste, so after giving your teeth a good clean you are now ready to brush with the whitening polish. This squeezes out like ordinary toothpaste and has a nice minty smell and taste. After a few minutes brushing and after rinsing out, you are left with a nice fresh feeling in your mouth. Your teeth feel really clean and sparkley.
The idea is that you use this polish twice a day to see any effects at all and after 2 weeks use you should see some difference.
Now as with all the other Pearl Drops I've used and thats a few I keep looking and after a couple of weeks I'm convinced that my teeth look whiter, but I did wonder if that was all in my head. Until after going away for a week and forgetting to take my Pearl Drops with me. I thought that a week won't hurt and when I got home and looked in my home mirror I noticed that my teeth had gone slightly discoloured to what they looked like before I went away. So I do believe that this does help towards whiter teeth.
After using the sparkle one in particular I did notice a sparkley shine to my teeth after a few days. I will use this particular one if I have a special occassion coming up and will continue with my "Hollywood Smile" for normal days. Hopefully one day I will achieve my "Cheryl Cole" smile!
This whitening toothpolish is not suitable for under 7 years, which I find amazing as why would you give this polish to any age child while their teeth are still young and new!
So if you fancy giving this a try then it is worth a trip to your local 99p shop. I also found in my one that they also sold "Pearl Drops Hollywood Smile" which in Boots sells for £4.99 so another good saving.
I do believe that these polishes do help keep stains from red wine, coffee, smoking ect... at bay!...(not that I smoke, but guilty of the other two!!)
I will give this product 5 Dooyoo Stars as I have found that it does give your teeth a sparkle!
I bought this toothpaste because I have long wanted to whiten my teeth but don't have a few hundered pounds to spend at the dentist!
Its quite a girlie product- silver packaging and an aqua coloured toothpaste which actually looks a little bit glittery (don't panic, it doesn't look that way on the brush!) Its easy to store as it sits on its lid and you wouldn't feel embarassed about having it on show in your bathroom.
According to the packaging, to get the maximum whitening effect you should use this toothpaste for about 2 weeks. I found that you do get an instant result- great for a special occasion and that over time this effect builds up.
I wasn't entirely sure that I was noticing a difference at first- there is no way a toothpaste is going to live up to a professional whitening treatment but I did start to get compliments about how nice my teeth looked and a couple of people did enquire if I had them whitened. The effect is subtle enough so that you can lie and just say they are very white naturally! I would make the point of saying that I don't smoke, drink red wine or coffee so my teeth weren't particurly yellow to start with, I get the feeling that if they were, I would not have noticed such a difference as these stains are more stubborn to shift.
The product has a nice taste, minty but not too strong, and my breath stayed fresh for a while after using it.
As a general toothpaste, this product does fall down a bit. My teeth didn't feel completely clean after using it (even if I brushed for a few months) and I needed to use mouthwash afterwards to make my mouth feel really clean.
I think the best way to use this product is as a once-a-day toothpaste, using a regular toothpaste at night to ensure your teeth are properly cleaned.
I am a sucker for marketing and when I saw adverts in the glossy mags for this product, I HAD to try it!
This tooth polish costs on average £2.49 for a 50ml tube but this of course varies from shop to shop and is often on a buy one get one half price in all the pearl drop range.
The toothpaste is an aqua colour and does actually look a little glittery. The shape of the bottle is very consumer friendly as it stands on its lid.
You use in the same way as any toothpaste- just apply to toothbrush and away you go!
Although the taste is a lovely minty fresh flavour, it didn't feel like it was really cleaning my teeth as well as other toothpastes- it did however give a FANTASTIC shiny finish on the surface- there was no residue or anything, just a nice shine! Becasue of this I would recommend that you clean your teeth first with your regular toothpaste and use this as a finishing touch!
Apparantly the way it works is by Pearl drops unique formula with micro-polishers and optical brighteners to instantly brighten and polish your teeth, leaving you with a stain free smile.
I can't guarantee the micro polishers and optical brighteners as its all jargon but I can say that if you're looking for a nice shiny smile then this stuff works!
As the name suggests, this product is perfect for a party! It gives an instant sparkle and shine to your teeth and makes you feel like smiling a whole lot more!
One of the best things- Pearl Drops contains no harsh abrasives, bleaches or acidic pH so you get the gain without the pain!
NB Contains Sodium Monofluorophosphate (incase you are allergic!)
I would recommend this but as an additional toothpaste rather than an alternative one!
