Advantages: Tastes OK and it worked for me
Disadvantages: Doesn't completely end sensitivity but it does help
I have suffered from sensitive for as long as I can remember. Quite a few years ago my dentist suggested I try Sensodyne toothpaste and it did help, a little. Well times move on and a few months ago I spotted this new Sensodyne product, Sensodyne Pronamel. I paid about £3.50 for a 75 ml tube and I must say it was worth it.
The product comes in a plastic tube/bottle and it stands on the lid so it is always easy to get some on your brush and you dont end up with a tube squashed in the middle like the more old fashioned tubes.
I don't know about the science but as a user I can say it does seem to have reduced the senstivity of my teeth and it is pleasant to use i.e. it isn't one of those toothpastes with an overwhelming flavour that burns your mouth. The claims for it are that is helps to reharden tooth enamel, it has low abrasivity and it is pH neutral. As I have said I am not in any way qualified to judge the science side of the claims but for me it works so if you are having trouble with sensitive teeth why not give it a go.
Summary: Its worth a try to end the pain of sensitive teeth
