Tescos Steps 6plus.
I have been staying with my daughter this weekend and I already have a toothbrush and my own toothpaste permenantly at her house. My grandchildren also have their own toothbrushes, the oldest two have electric toothbrushes, and the younger two have just ordinary oral care toothbrushes.
I noticed some toothpaste on the window seal that the younger ones use, and asked my daughter about it. She told me that the adult toothpastes were too strong for the younger children and that they didnt like to brush their teeth with it, on searching a round she had come up with this Steps which is a toothpaste especially formulated for childrens developing teeth, and the mint flavour helps to clean and protect your childs delicate teeth.
It comes from Tescos and costs a mere £1.00 which is not a bad price for this.
Directions for use :
Brush teeth twice a day to deliver the optimal level of flouride.
Use a pea sized amount of toothpaste for supervised brushing to minimise swallowing.
spit out after washing, rinse with cold water.
As I feel that it is important for children to get used to brushing their teeth from an early age, they do produce a toothpaste for 0-2 years old, which they can use then progress up to the 6 plus, before they take the final steps to using adult toothpaste.
Upon asking my grandaughter what she thinks of this toothpaste, she told me that it was minty but not as strong as my daughters toothpaste, then she said she didnt mind brushing her teeth with Steps toothpaste and that she enjoyed the fresh taste it left in her mouth.
I would recommend that you try Steps if you have children as this will encourage them to brush their teeth, and help prevent tooth decay as we all know that children tend to eat a lot of junk food and also they tend to eat a lot of sweets.
Thanks for reading and rating my reviews.
Buying toothpaste and getting my daughter to brush her teeth has been a battle right from when she was 8 months old and cut her first tooth. She hate the taste of every toothpaste on the market we have tried, milk teeth, Colgate, aqua fresh, strawberry flavour, mint you name it we have tried it but I am determined not to give up she has to brush them so I force her to use whatever paste we try for at least a week in the hope she will get used to them this has not happened... until now!
Whilst in Tesco I let her choose toothpaste to try this time she picked Tesco steps 6+ in cool mint price at £1 on special offer. The toothpaste was in a dark blue tube with a picture of water and flowers with a smiling face. The tube contains 75ml of toothpaste.
The following day I flipped the lid of the tube open and squeezed out a pea sized blob onto my daughters toothbrush and put slightly more on my toothbrush (I always try them with her so I can try and understand her reason for not liking it) The toothpaste is aqua blue in colour and looks very sparkly like glitter. iIt smells very strong mint like pools. The toothpaste tasted like a mild mint and made nice white/blue foam inside the mouth. My daughter and I happily brushed our teeth with this toothpaste it had a nice fresh minty taste that was not to strong but it did linger in the mouth. The toothpaste was very pleasant and my daughter asked for another blob on her toothbrush for the first time ever!
After we had brushed out teeth I checked my daughters teeth and I have to comment on how shinny they were. This made him day she was very proud of her nice clean shinny teeth. The teeth seemed to have a coating of something that made them look very white and shinny.
This toothpaste has become very popular in our household. She happily brushes her teeth at least twice a day with Tesco steps cool mint sparkling toothpaste. The price of £1 for a 75 ml tube is very good. The tube stands upside down on its lid and the lid flips open so it is easy for children to use. This toothpaste is specially formulated for milk and permanent teeth, which is great as my daughter has both teeth now. It was also designed in conjunction with the British Dental Health Foundation. This toothpaste has solved all the problems for us. Do not give up on your child's teeth it is just a case of finding the right product!
