Tesco Value Mouthwash
When it comes to the purchase of mouthwash I am a creature of habit really which is the whole reason I don't do many mouthwash reviews actually! I always buy Dentyl as I think its the best however the other day I decided to see if I could save money by purchasing this Tesco 'Value' one and priced at only 40p a bottle I decide it simply had to be worth a punt!
The bottle is see through and plastic and holds a generous 600ml of the dark green, transparent liquid and it has a twist on and off white plastic cap to the top of it. On the front of the bottle there is a photograph of mint leaves and we are told in red, blue and white writing that it is Tesco 'Value' Mouthwash 'Helps protect against plaque, helps freshen breath' and there is some information also listed in foreign languages neatly on there too. On the back of the bottle other information listed includes being told a little about the product and how to use it, the ingredients and the size are stated and contact details for Tesco's are given (as well as yet more information given in foreign languages). The bottle looks cheap and rather economy to be honest but it is informative enough anyway.
Well as any mouth wash you are meant to gargle a capful in your mouth after brushing your teeth. The liquid is as I have said a rich green colour and smells of mint, taste wise though this is rather foul although it tastes of mint it is really, really sickly sweet and that flavour lingers in your mouth for ages which isn't good though your mouth does stay smelling of mint for a good half hour.
However apart from the fragrance of this I don't like this one bit. I don't like the taste and I don't think it does alot for the health and well being of my teeth either. I can't say for sure it doesn't help fight plague but my teeth feel no cleaner or appear so after using this cheap and nasty mouthwash! I certainly won't be penny pinching again with a product such as this in the future I can tell you that much!
Only available from Tesco stores costing a mere 40p a bottle....but its gross and worth no more than that lol.
