	Direct Line Home Insurance ... have been insured with Direct Line for Home Insurance for about 16 years now. I first took their insurance when I worked for them in Glasgow, back in 1992 and I qualified for a generous staff discount. Over the years I have periodically done a pricing check at renewal stage, but I have never really found a quote any cheaper, apart from one year when I defected to AA Insurance for a year, but then soon found I was better off at Direct Line the following year. I am not an individual who "over" insures, if that makes sense. 	Warranty Direct ... you ever played that game as a kid where your parents bring in a large tray with loads of objects on it covered with a cloth. They remove the cloth for a few seconds and then replace it, take the tray outside and remove an object then bring it back and you have to say what s been removed? That s a bit like extended warranties. You have to look at what they say they cover then think about what it is that you want covered and then try and identify the differences. Of course, the easiest way to find out is to make a claim. Whatever it is you re claiming for, that s what s missing! 	Allianz-Cornhill Insurance ... you re lucky enough to have contents insurance that you never need to claim on, then these guys are for you. Alternatively, if you re unfortunate enough to be burgled, and require a good and efficient service, I strongly advise you to look elsewhere. I d always been advised by family members to seek contents insurance via the AA, who would select the best deal for the coverage I needed. Ultimately using the AA as a broker was the one thing that turned my claim around. After being burgled and dealing with associated police business, I contacted Allianz Cornhill to inform them that I would need to make a claim.
