Get it right for a satisfactory outcome

Advantages: Peace of mind in the event of a major repair being necessary, in my case the automatic gearbox
Disadvantages: None really, only the monthly expense but......that applies to most forms of insurance
I don't have anything bad to say about W/D. I have had 2 claims for the fuel pumps failing on my Rover 75 and both were covered, less the excess, with no hassle.
I feel some of the disatisfaction in these reviews is down to the claimant. With the high number of false ins, claims in this country W/D cannot be blamed for having a set routine. Get this right and I think you will find a good service is offered.
Of paramount importance:- Make sure your vehicle is serviced according to the manuf. shedule. Make sure your MOT is current and get the garage to phone W/D for authorisation and an auth. number. Only other thing is the invoice when submitting.
I have the slightly more expensive cover and pay something like £1 extra per month to take my car to a franchised dealer (if I choose to). VERY LITTLE is not covered on my policy, hoses, for example, being one.
The Honda dealer, for example, did not HAVE to recognise W/D, only phone them, explain the fault and get an authorisation number.
Yes it does pay to read the terms but having done that I am quite sure you will be happy with the cover according to which cover you choose.
Summary: Generally very satisfied and half the price of Warranty Wise
