If you own anything Sony then you will probably be aware that they use their own memory format known as memory stick in their products.the memory stick adapter pictured here is used to change the pro duo / duo memory stick into a normal memory stick. The memory stick duos are roughly only a couple of mm thick and about 20mm in length. So quite small. The adapter is the same size as a normal memory stick and has a small curved section at one end. To ensure you can get your duo in and out easily. However not all of their products are or were compatible with these super tiny memory cards. So Sony relased the msac m2. Which is basically an adapter that changes your memory stick pro duo/ duo card into a normal regualr memory stick.
The pro duo / duo card just slides into the adapter at one end and can be removed just as easily. The contacts are great and i have found no prblem using the simple but very effective device.
The adapter does not change the memory card in any way so if you have a pro duo memory stick, the adapter will not make it useable if your device does not support the "pro" format.
Sony's reliable super fast media has been of great use to me. The release if this adapter has made it 100 times easier for me to transfer images and show them to other easily. Something i wouldnt have been able to do with out this little device.
The one good thing is that if you buy a big enough memory stick duo then this adapetr will be bundled with it. But if you do not get one you would be looking at roughly £8 to purchase one. A bit steep but ive found it to be a god send!!
A simple to use adapter that has been used religiously!
