Supreme Keep It Clean
by emmad5689
A couple of months ago we inherited and rabbit and hutch off a friend of my Sister in law which I was really grateful of as I had always wanted a rabbit however when my Husband brought Sooty and his hutch home I was less than impressed. The hutch was a disgrace and looked like it had never had a proper clean so I sent my husband straight ... to our local pet shop to find something safe to clean it with. He came back with a bottle of keep it clean which had cost £3.99 for a 500ml bottle, I would imagine you would be able to get this cheaper as our local pet shop is known for being a bit overpriced.
The keep it clean range comes in three fragrances, lemon, coconut and lavender, out of the three personally I would have choose the lemon but my Husband came back with lavender. The product comes in a trigger spray bottle which is clear so you can see the product inside, the product is lilac colour for the lavender one and I have also seem the lemon fragrance which is bright yellow.
On the front of the bottle is a label which has the title of the product which is written with keep and clean in bold letters and then a little red circle inbetween the others words holding the word it in smaller letters. The fragrance comes next and sits under the title and then there are pictures of 7 different animals on the label with the claim that it cleans, disinfects and deodorises and you can use the product for all animals, birds and reptiles.
On the back of the bottle it states that this product is used by the medical profession which gives me confidence that it must be one of the best products within its range, it states that this assists in the prevention of bacterial infections and it can be used on cages, bedding, accessories and your actual pet. There are directions for use on the rear of the bottle too, as a cleaner you need to remove soiled material and then spray and allow to dry, we had to scrub at the hutch the first time it was cleaned as it was so bad but we have used this since by simply spraying and letting the product dry and the hutch is never dirty so this product does work very well.
To use as a deodoriser on your pets you simply spray a small amount on the pet avoiding their eyes, it states that this can be used after a toilet accident to give you an idea of its use, I have used this on our two gerbil as they do begin to smell a little and apparently putting gerbils in water to bath them can send them into shock and whenever we put sand down for them to bath themselves in as you are meant to they use it as a toilet instead. This product has certainly made our gerbils smell nicer although after a few minutes I wouldn't say they smell of lavender but just much cleaner.
The product is easy to use and the trigger spray has a nozzle to turn the spray on and off so there shouldn't be any accidents spraying it when you didn't mean to. The product does smell like lavender but it isn't too strong which I find some lavender products are and the smell doesn't last too long either which for this particular product I am happy about. The trigger spray sprays well but doesn't spray too much product at once, the nozzle on our bottle has never got blocked and there is still about a quarter or a bottle left after using this for a couple of months so after the initial clean we haven't used too much of it. The product does the job nicely, all our animals are healthy and have lovely clean houses so I cannot fault this product in anyway, I will be trying the lemon one next although I can't imagine I will try the coconut fragrance as I don't expect to like this one.
