... of the tail guard it is incredibly smooth so it won't rub the horse's tail and on the outside of it, it has a plush outer finish which helps the velcro straps stay in place.
** How to fit **
The tail guard comes in only size only which is good as you don't have to worry about measurements. The guard is easy to fit as you simply place it on top of the horse's tail, making sure the top of the tail guard is covering the top of the horse's tail. When horses travel in a trailer or horsebox it is so important to have them well protected as they will no doubt suffer a few knocks or bangs whilst travelling and trying to reduce any damage is a must. Travel boots are without doubt the most important piece of kit you need for travelling (my opinion!) but one other item I always use is a tail guard to obviously protect the tail! Over the years I have tried a few tail guards and none have really lived up to much as I either find them a bit too big and overly padded or they slip down the horse's tail within minutes of being on the horsebox.
