      An Extensive Bit Collection

I am reviewing the Dremel 100 Piece Accessory Set as shown in the Dooyoo picture rather than the Dremel 100 powertool. I actually have a couple of Dremel tools and I got this mega-sized box of accessories to use with them a couple of years ago. It's a brilliant collection of heads or bits that cut, etch, sand, buff, polish, drill and slice.

My box is a medium sized metal tin although I believe you now get these sets in a transparent plastic box. My tin has an easy to open lid without hinges. Inside there are two sponge holders into which you can stick each bit. There is also a smaller plastic box containing some of the buffing pieces which can be slipped onto other bits.

An instruction leaflet contained in the collection shows you what material each bit can be used for and gives an example of some of the DIY or crafting work you might do.

With some bits you get multiple pieces in the same variety. There is one metal head with a rounded cutting edge for wood, plastics and soft metals. There are 6 grinding pieces for metal and wood. There are four varieties of buffing heads for metal use. There are three varieties of circular cutting bits for metal and thin wood. There are six varieties of sanding heads for wood, metal, fibreglass and rubber. There is also a metal drill bit for wood, plastics and soft metals and a further metal bit which can be used for connecting other pieces together. Overall it's an extremely comprehensive set of bits for your Dremel. There is also a mini spanner.

Examples of work you can do with these pieces are craft related glass etching, cutting off rusty locks, all sorts of woodwork, car engine repairs etc.

At only £29.99 this collection is well worth the price and the pieces are long lasting but replaceable too. It's really handy to have all the bits in this one storage box and the internal units help to keep these tool bits tidy and within easy reach.
