To find this remarkable beach take junction 36 off the M6 and stay on the A590 all the way to Barrow in Furness and then a two minute drive over the Walney Bridge and you hit the sea and a beach that goes on forever. My next beach that has left an effect on me and makes me hanker to return it is on the Greek Island of Rhodes and it is called 'Prassonissi.' It can be found right on the southern tip of the island very close to a town called Katavia. It is a sandy beach between two islands where the Mediterranean and Aegean Sea meet. I was glad when I stumbled on this category because it reminded me of a few beautiful beaches that I know of. I will start with the beach in my home town 'Earnse Bay' well actually it is on Walney Island just a stones throw from Barrow in Furness. The sands go on forever and Kite surfing is a popular sport especially at 'Earnse Point' on the west side of the Island. I love to visit this beach all year round but the most dramatic scenes are when it is stormy and the sea waves are rolling onto the shore it never ceases to enthral me, such a beautiful sight.
