Bondi Beach (Sydney, Australia) ... all the seafront.

Newest Review: ... buses, trains and trams all go towards the beach and thus it's easy to get to by modes of transport. The bus numbers tourist should look out for are 380 or 382 or 333, the busses will notably say going towards North Bondi, Dover Heights, Watsons Bay or Bondi Beach and thus its relatively easy in that sense. The price of tickets on a bus is calculated by the number of stops you go pass its ... more

BONDI Bondi beach is perhaps the most famous beach in Australia if not the World. The glowing white sand, the cool breeze from the sea and the glorious whether make it one of the greatest tourist's attractions in Australia. Everyone will tell you if you are in Sydney you have to go to Bondi Beach, and they are right, Bondi is one of the best experiences a tourist can have. History: Bondi Beach is located in the Area of Bondi, which is in Vaucluse, Sydney with an area population of about 10,000. Bondi which is originally an Aboriginal word means "water breaking over rocks or noise of water breaking over rocks". Between 1855 ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bondi Beach - it's Beaut! (1305 words)

When I was seven years old my not long widowed mother decided to take me and my sister to Australia for the summer to visit her brothers who'd both emigrated to Sydney about 10 years earlier. They had been 'Ten Pound Poms', just two of the many people who'd fled the miserable drabness of early 1960s Britain to build a new life in the sun. Mum still has photos and some jerky cine-film of my sister and me in our swimsuits (mine had a little frilled skirt on it - can you imagine?) running around a totally empty Bondi Beach, with no more than a solitary baffled looking dog-walker wrapped in coat and scarf watching us in the distance. We were, as she tells it, the only three ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bondi Beach (Sydney, Australia): Surfs up in Bondi (215 words)

Bondi! A true backpacker's experience. I came here first on Australia Day with fellow backpackers and had a truly good time. The surf is great and there's always room on the beach for everyone. From Bronte Beach to Bondi: If you're up for a walk there's a 2.5km walk from Bronte Beach to Bondi. It follows a costal path and if you're the energetic type there's excersize like equipment set up along the way for you to try as well as smaller beaches which aren't as well known. I found many that were deserted which is always a plus if you want to get away from the crowds. When you first see Bondi it can nearly be mistaken for a British ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Beautiful beach, close to Sydney's centre. (207 words)

Bondi Beach is a beach in Australia, and it is very close to the centre of city. This beach is very beautiful, and as it is so close to the centre of the city (only about half an hour away by bus), I thought that, as so many people had recommended that I visit it, I would! I took the bus and found a nice place to stay, very close to the beach itself, which was great- the view out of the window was beautiful. There were also many places to eat along the beach, which meant that I never had to go very far for a meal. I am not a surfer but the beach is meant to be a good one for surfing. Personally, I enjoyed just walking along the coast. ...  Read the complete review

Premium Review Bondi Beach (Sydney, Australia): Surfers Paradiso  (134 words)

On a recent trip to OZ, i treated myself to a hotel room in Bondi for a few nights (even though i was backpacking). It turned out to be an excellent stay. I think most people imagine Bondi Beach to be full of celebrities and glamorous people, they would be mistaken. Its more like Blackpool on a sunny day. This place has it all, from quaint joke shops to huge fish market stalls. Filled with restaraunts and the smell of chips, Bondi is like home from home. The only thing that seperates this place from anywhere here is the surf. It is a mecca for the surfers among us and to be honest, i saw more dudes here than i did in Surfers Paradise. A great place to stay for a few ...  Read the complete review
