Advantages: Meet friends both in staff and holiday makers

Disadvantages: split shifts, 6 days a week

Although i worked for Butlins at Skegness back in 1989, i have never forgotten the experience, yes you work hard but by heck you have lots of social life on your time off.
The money isnt too great but as in another review its your money as you have food and accomadation supplied for you
I met some bands albiet country and western, some commedians, the one that sticks out is Brian Connelly
I would reccomend any young person to do a minimum of a season there and i do recomend it to young people i meet and who want something short term and different to do. i wouldve been back year after year but decided to start a family and my daughter was born the year after {incedentially i met my husband there now divorced after 12 years)
Disadvantages in my time were the acommadation very basic so small we called them sheds, the security were heavy handed at times and some rules were a bit 'strict' but you put up with it cos it was so much friends.
I and my ex husband tell our kids about our adventure working at Butlins, my eldest son wants to go and work there when is old enough, we wont stop him
