I have been going to butlins holiday resorts for the best part of 20 years and still enjoy them as much today as I did back then, but for very different reasons. Obviously as a child Butlins really excelled in every way but as I got older and went through my clubbing sort of age I still found going to Butlins with friends to be a great experience. ... I worked at Butlin's Skegness in the simmer of 89 and will never forget the experience. Back then you were payed £55.00 for a six day working week. I worked in the sweet kiosks and the shopping centre and met some good people. We used to joke about how it was the closest thing to being in prison due to the heavy handedness of the security guards ... Read the complete review

Stayed at Butlins Skegness for Christmas,7 adults and 2 teenage girls. The accommodation was silver self-catering,the apartments were very comfortable and clean. There was entertainment from morning till late night ,lots to join in for younger children and I think it would be a Christmas they would never forget. We had the Xmas dinner and that was very good, the only down side was there is still lots of things you had to pay for and you might have noisy neighbours so take some ear plugs. The Red coats (if there still called that) were fantastic and put on some wonderful shows and they certainly earn their money!

Although I have only ever had holidays at bognor butlins, my mum visited the skegness resort and my friends have been to minehead. Apparently as Skegness is so big its more spaced out and harder to get to things so not as good as bognor. Minehead seems ok-ish. When people say there is nothing for little kids I do not understand that so just to set ... Read the complete review

So what is it like on the inside? Most of the ops here are about peoples experiences of holidays at each of the centres and opinion is varied. This is to be expected as different people have different expectations and different experiences - 'can't please all of the people all of the time' syndrome. But what about working ... I’ve just returned from a mini holiday at Butlins in Bogner Regis and decided to put pen to paper and finger to keyboard whilst everything was fresh in my mind. Butlins is not a new holiday destination for me and mine. We have been taking our kids there on and off over the last ten years and have been to most of the resorts around Britain. I ... Butlins really is a good value holiday, with entertainment for all ages. Like all holiday centres it can be expensive if you choose to go at peak times, but if you are prepared to let the kids off school for a week it can be very reasonable. They do special weeks for single parents in June and July where the first child gets to go free, ... Read the complete review

I used to go to Butlin's regularly as a child, because we lived near the Skegness camp and my Dad used to love going there. I went to Butlin's every year for a long time, but the holidays I remember the clearest were in the 1980s, when we used to go to the camp at Barry Island in Wales. The chalets were basic, but not unpleasant ... Read the complete review

Having worked in the North Wales resort of Butlins for 3 months I know my way about the one camp pretty well but can't really compare it with any of the others. First impressions on arriving are confused, on the one hand there are hordes and hordes of excited holidaymakers revelling with the equally manic red coats, exacerbated by the ... We decided to give yourselves a big treat last summer and take our then eighteen months old baby to Butlins at Bognor Regis. We paid £300 for a five night break and its wasnt even worth half of that. I have just returned from a wonderful 4 day break at Butlins in Skegness, along with my wife (we are both 26 years of age) and our daughter Lucy (who is 22 months). We took two two and a half year olds to Butlins in Skegness for the day. Our main objective was to meet Noddy and friends! Within minutes of arriving and making our way to Toyland, We met Big Ears on his 'walkabout'. Other walkbouts seemed very frequent - we met Big Ears, Noddy, Tessie Bear and Mr. Plod. I have been trying to take my daughter to Butlins for about two years, except I was either too slow or too late for the single parent deal. But this year we made it. It was my daughters birthday and my own, so I wanted to take her to a Kiddie Paradise. Noddy, Denise the Menace and the X-Men were all there as well as the famous Redcoats. ...
