Dear Community, There are always so many opinions when it comes to Timeshare / Interval International. Most people who complain, dont understand how it works. We went through all that. I bought my first timeshare on the honeymoon with my wife in tenerife. This is over two decades ago. At that time Interval was quiet new and we explored the timeshare world. We had to cancel a reservation last December due to our daughter's wedding. Interval kept our reservation fee and gave us a replacement deadline of November 17 as the last date of useage. This date is in the middle of the week! All exchanges either begin or end on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. We are not debating the cancellation replacement issue or the need for rules for all members to be equal. We are at least asking equal for equal replacement by granting a replacement date that ends on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! My wife & I purchased a timeshare in Playa Del Carmen for our 15th anniversary. At the time we were told how flexible the unit was, you can exchange through Interval International and travel the world. EVERY request that we have made through II has not been granted. We even exchanged our unit, using their on-line services, only to find out later that it was only partially exchanged. Every destination/date that we request is the "hardest", "busiest" or "most unavailable" request that a member can submit? We are done with II, anything else has to be better than this. we had been doing exchange through interval international for teh last 5 years and i dont remember one time taht they told us the truthi have a 2 bed room unit in florida and they always tell us a 2 bed room is available for exchange but we will end up getting a studio type roomand i do have 2 kids so imagin what we have to go through i did another exchange with them one week ago and the same thing happened and when i called them , the phone gilr called me illusional because i didnt read the whole thing through , well i think any one can read and know the difference between a 2 bed room and a studioi will not renew my membership with them ...

II seems to have plenty of options in North America, but try the rest of the world. I just did a search for anywhere in Asia as far out as they would let me try (end of 2010).
