Newest Review: ... years. Today we are multiple weeks owners and understand how Interval works. Interval International is affiliated to over 2500 Resorts. Cheap timeshare resorts somewhere far up and also exclusive resorts, such as clubs from Hyatt. Our first Membership was cheap, very cheap! And we expected to go to any place in the world. We were upset when we found out, that we can't stay in 5 Star Resorts ... more

Dear Community, There are always so many opinions when it comes to Timeshare / Interval International. Most people who complain, dont understand how it works. We went through all that. I bought my first timeshare on the honeymoon with my wife in tenerife. This is over two decades ago. At that time Interval was quiet new and we explored the timeshare world. Off course we bought with emotions, we were on honeymoon and expected a bright future, but back home in cold Switzerland we thought after a while, me might have done a wrong decision. Back home, I had to work in my garage, selling motorcycles. I started to regret my decision. We tried ... Read the complete review

We had to cancel a reservation last December due to our daughter's wedding. Interval kept our reservation fee and gave us a replacement deadline of November 17 as the last date of useage. This date is in the middle of the week! All exchanges either begin or end on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. We are not debating the cancellation replacement issue or the need for rules for all members to be equal. We are at least asking equal for equal replacement by granting a replacement date that ends on a Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. Interval does not care about its individual members' needs or equalness between Interval and members. Interval is just in business to ... Read the complete review

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! My wife & I purchased a timeshare in Playa Del Carmen for our 15th anniversary. At the time we were told how flexible the unit was, you can exchange through Interval International and travel the world. EVERY request that we have made through II has not been granted. We even exchanged our unit, using their on-line services, only to find out later that it was only partially exchanged. Every destination/date that we request is the "hardest", "busiest" or "most unavailable" request that a member can submit? We are done with II, anything else has to be better than this. We have lost thousands of dollars, attempting to use this so-called service company. Don't make the same mistake we have.

II seems to have plenty of options in North America, but try the rest of the world. I just did a search for anywhere in Asia as far out as they would let me try (end of 2010). I only got 8 resorts for a total of about 18 weeks -- many overlapped. This is with giving an option of 70 weeks of my travel availability. Very disappointing.
