Interval InternationalNewest Review: ... want to stay. One of the advantages of many locations is they ARE slightly off the beaten track. Why would you want to holiday with the crowds? Hire a car, it's not exactly rocket science !Being an II member has taken us to some fabulous resorts: Kuala Lumpar, Malaysia; Bintan Lagoon, Indonesia; sport Hotel St Johann, south of Salzburg and the amazing Palm Oasis, Gran Canaria, both of ... more |

II seems to have plenty of options in North America, but try the rest of the world. I just did a search for anywhere in Asia as far out as they would let me try (end of 2010). I only got 8 resorts for a total of about 18 weeks -- many overlapped. This is with giving an option of 70 weeks of my travel availability.
Very disappointing.

We exchanged a week at our resort with Interval.
The resort we chose we found to be closed when we arrived except for reception - no bars, no reastaurant, no pool, no shop etc etc.
The reps wer there training and could not belive Interval had sent us two weeks before they were due to open!
Interval's response was that it was down to us to check the resort out even though they arranged the exchange and took our money.
DO NOT TRUST THESE CROOKS!!!!

I have had only good experiences with Interval International, in fact I have just come back from Canada where I exchanged weeks for two lovely resorts and Whistler (home of the 2010 Winter Olympics) can hardly be called off the beaten track!!! I agree with some of the other reviewers: book as early as you can, do your research - there are plenty of review sites out there, and if your exchanging timeshare isn't at a premium resort then don't expect to get a peak period premium resort in return.

II completely SUCKS! I was on an exchange list for anything in their inventory for 2 years for anywhere on Maui or anywhere on Kauai and got absolutely NOTHING! Timeshare exchange is a thing of the past. Now they sell the points system. So us old timeshare owners are screwed. People with timeshares just rent them out themselves on the internet privately. There is no need for the absolutely worthless service of Interval International.

PATHETIC. BEWARE. AVOID INTERVAL INTERNATIONAL AT ALL COSTS. THEY SCREWED ME GOOD BY THEIR GREED AND INCOMPETENCE. HARD TO BELEIVE THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS. WHEN I TRIED TO ELEVATE MY CONCERN TO A MANAGER I WAS HUNG UP ON. WHEN I TRIED TO CALL BACK I GOT A "OUR OFFICE IS CLOSED" RECORDING. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM A SERVICE ORGANAZATION. TRY AND FIND A MEMBER OF MANAGEMENT TO VOICE A CONCERN. I DARE YOU....BEST OF LUCK.
