Dear Community, There are always so many opinions when it comes to Timeshare / Interval International. Most people who complain, dont understand how it works. We went through all that. I bought my first timeshare on the honeymoon with my wife in tenerife. This is over two decades ago. At that time Interval was quiet ... Read the complete review

We had to cancel a reservation last December due to our daughter's wedding. Interval kept our reservation fee and gave us a replacement deadline of November 17 as the last date of useage. This date is in the middle of the week! All exchanges either begin or end on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday. We are not debating the ... Read the complete review

PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!!!! My wife & I purchased a timeshare in Playa Del Carmen for our 15th anniversary. At the time we were told how flexible the unit was, you can exchange through Interval International and travel the world. EVERY request that we have made through II has not been granted. We even exchanged our unit, using their on-line services, only to find out later that it was only partially exchanged. Every destination/date that we request is the "hardest", "busiest" or "most unavailable" request that a member can submit? We are done with II, anything else has to be better than this. We have lost thousands of dollars, attempting to use this so-called service company. Don't make the same mistake we have.

II seems to have plenty of options in North America, but try the rest of the world. I just did a search for anywhere in Asia as far out as they would let me try (end of 2010). I only got 8 resorts for a total of about 18 weeks -- many overlapped. This is with giving an option of 70 weeks of my travel availability. Very disappointing.

We exchanged a week at our resort with Interval. The resort we chose we found to be closed when we arrived except for reception - no bars, no reastaurant, no pool, no shop etc etc.The reps wer there training and could not belive Interval had sent us two weeks before they were due to open!Interval's response was that it was down to us to check the resort out even though they arranged the exchange and took our money.DO NOT TRUST THESE CROOKS!!!!

I have had only good experiences with Interval International, in fact I have just come back from Canada where I exchanged weeks for two lovely resorts and Whistler (home of the 2010 Winter Olympics) can hardly be called off the beaten track!!! I agree with some of the other reviewers: book as early as you can, do your research - there are plenty of review sites out there, and if your exchanging timeshare isn't at a premium resort then don't expect to get a peak period premium resort in return.

II completely SUCKS! I was on an exchange list for anything in their inventory for 2 years for anywhere on Maui or anywhere on Kauai and got absolutely NOTHING! Timeshare exchange is a thing of the past. Now they sell the points system. So us old timeshare owners are screwed. People with timeshares just rent them out themselves on the internet privately. There is no need for the absolutely worthless service of Interval International.

PATHETIC. BEWARE. AVOID INTERVAL INTERNATIONAL AT ALL COSTS. THEY SCREWED ME GOOD BY THEIR GREED AND INCOMPETENCE. HARD TO BELEIVE THEY ARE STILL IN BUSINESS. WHEN I TRIED TO ELEVATE MY CONCERN TO A MANAGER I WAS HUNG UP ON. WHEN I TRIED TO CALL BACK I GOT A "OUR OFFICE IS CLOSED" RECORDING. TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM A SERVICE ORGANAZATION. TRY AND FIND A MEMBER OF MANAGEMENT TO VOICE A CONCERN. I DARE YOU....BEST OF LUCK.

Hi all I've used II for eight years as a GVC/Sunterra/Diamond Resort member. I have 25000 points, which means I have invested A LOT of money in the enterprise. To date, we have been VERY happy with every break we have taken. But you have to do your homework first, and research carefully where you want to stay. One ... Read the complete review

I guess I've been fortunate or maybe am more open to exploring different places. I'm a member through my Las Vegas, Nevada and Breckenridge, Colorado timeshares and have made some great exchanges to places that may seem "middle of nowhere" to others. I've exchanged into a resort in Genoa, Nevada which is close to Carson City, ... Read the complete review

I have paid a deposit for a II 1 bed apartment in Cape Verde .This is a new build and will open in August this year .Is it a good investment.I have 4 children to take away .We holiday 4 times a yaer.Any help????It is costing £6500 for 24 years with a maintenance annual bill of just short of £ 300 sterling,I can see that over the 24 years this will be a large saving but in signing for this have i just lost all my freedom of booking holidays where and when i want.

Interval International is only as good as the exchanges that are deposited. If people aren't depositing good weeks at good resorts, then good weeks at good resorts will not be available for exchange. There's not much II can do about that.Having said that, I can say that I used to have much better success exchanging weeks with II. I now have a couple of Marriott Vacation Club weeks that have been on deposit for over six months with no luck. I think the problem is that people are selling their good weeks rather than depositing them with II. Check places like eBay. You can see lots of good weeks at goos resorts being sold rather than deposited.

Interval International - BEWARNED!!!! We also were hugely dissapointed with Interval International. We booked a room for seven in Argentina and upon arrival, they capped our room to 6 forcing us to rent an additional unit at double the cost. The agent from II refused to acknowledge their mistake and hung up on us. We will be ... Read the complete review
