Kho San Road. MBK. That's where you need to go in Bangkok. Yes, there are lots of places you can go. And there are markets with many products buy as well. But lets cut out any wasted time. Get yourself to these two places.

Kho San Road. Why do I like that? Well there aren't many places in the world where I would lie in my hotel room and let the wife wander around at midnight. Kho San Road is safe. Its fun. and its cheap. If you want knock off merchandise for a fraction of the real price, but of quality that keeps the Mrs happy, come here. Shoes, sunglasses, T-shirts and everything else you could possibly want. Be prepared to barter. Make sure you have a smile on your face, and go and get yourself some bargains.

What about the MBK? Well it is shopping centre with a bit of everything all under one roof. A market section (think tiny Kho San Road), department stores, and some great food options as well. It is a strange mix where you can buy genuine products from a boutique, then go down two floors and buy a copy for a tenth of the price.

The wife loves Bangkok, mainly for these two reasons. If it is good enough for here and keeps her happy, then it keeps me happy!
