Very good prices, and high quality goods but LA isnt for you if Shopping is your only hobby! (Shopping in Los Angeles)

Advantages: Very Cheap, high quality products - If you get bored of shopping, there are many other things to do!

Disadvantages: Everything is spread out, lots of horrendous transport to do. Car rental is a must!

If you havent been to LA before you ll very quickly notice one thing, you cant do anything without a car. So it goes without saying you need one!
Pasadena/Burbank and of course downtown LA are your main areas to visit for shopping, but price can be a factor.

If you can get a price of around $1.5 to the pound, thats average.
On the other hand i managed to get $2 to the pound, which made everything incredibly cheap, while being of very high american quality.
To the english they are almost 2 months ahead, what they have out now we will see shortly, and usually it will be cheaper over there.

Of course it will be very busy as its Los Angeles, its a big place and parking and traffic jam problems come as standard unfortunately!

The selection available is amazing. For electronics i went into Fry's Electronics and it has to be the biggest warehouse ive ever seen! Its Currys x50 at least. People just go in and come out with anything you could think of at a very competitive internet like price !

You can pre-order stuff to collect and it even tells you which stores have it to save a trip out there.
People think shopping in Hollywood is all that, thats a load of Bull.
Going down the strip is basically like going down a beach, all the stores are tacky and sell all these 4 shirts for $10 offers.

If you have to get a hotel if you visit please realise actual Downtown LA is very average, its the LA county where the places are.
Glendale, Pasadena, Carson, Burbank etc are the places.

If you just want to go shopping go to New York, where you get a hotel and walk to shops.
If you want to shop, go see the hollywood sign, watch a show being recorded, enjoy the weather, etc go to LA
