You will also find some great stores along Polk Street, known as Polk Gulch, close to Russian Hill. For more personal gifts and, dare I say, tacky souvenirs, then Fisherman's Wharf is the place. San Francisco is the most beautiful city in the world. The amazing Victorian architecture and the sweeping views of the Bay visible from almost every hill top can leave you in awe. If you want to find original Victorian homes, then take walk along Union Street, where you will find the Octagon house (corner of Gough and Union).
