Good Shopping on par with London (Shopping in Singapore)

Advantages: Really great and calm shopping experience

Now there's alot of shops on orchard road...it is very similar to oxford road in london but a heck of a lot prettier with palm trees and really nice hotels...the Hilton hotel is opposite a large supermarket and a cinema complete with Subway Restaurant among many more.
The Metro is a short walk from the Hilton and is very close to Borders Bookstore.
You will find many jewelry shops around here too.
But if you really want to stray away from the beaten track then take a trip to Sentosa View, this is on the metro stop called Harbour Front...it is called the Vivo Centre and really combines great eating and shopping with also a small tram ride available at a small cost to sentosa island.
Try your haggling skills at Sim Lim Square close to Boonkeng this is the major electronics area, though please be carefull there are alot of bogus people running these shops...they are usually on the ground floor and 1st floor selling camera's...though one good one is the sony store...
Head to the 2nd floor for computer parts.
If you want a quality Camera Go to Expandore on shun li industrial complex which is a reputable company i researched while in Australia.
This is a great place to spend a few days
