katygriff Shopping in Los Angeles: ... were in Los Angeles for 3 days and although we did not go particularly for the shopping aspect, LA can t hide at all how good it is for shopping. Everywhere you go you get a different range of shops and I do believe there is something for everybody which is nice. I will attempt to tell you why I think it is a great place for shopping even though I didn t buy much (as I was broke) but I could have spent hundreds....

... in Orlando was unreal. I loved everything about being in Orlando but i have to say disney and universal took a back seat to the shopping. I absolutely loved it and all the fun that went with it. My nephews for example love nike etc and all things sporty and they were fascinated with all the outlet stores. You can buy all the tops runners etc for far less than what you would buy them at home and with the added bonus of different tops that stand out. For myself for exmaple i loved the calvin klein and guess stores. I also have a soft spot for all the little gift stores and would have spent hours in these. ... just loved the shopping in Orlando from the oversized Malls to the endless stream of tacky gift shops. The Florida Mall was absolutley gorgeous! Containing as many genres of shops as any family would need to be entertained while you take time to shop, shop, shop! From fashion to Photography you will find every whim is catered for. Shopping aside the mall contains a fabulous food hall perfect to refresh you after all the retail therapy. ... you havent been to LA before you ll very quickly notice one thing, you cant do anything without a car. So it goes without saying you need one! Pasadena/Burbank and of course downtown LA are your main areas to visit for shopping, but price can be a factor. If you can get a price of around $1.5 to the pound, thats average. On the other hand i managed to get $2 to the pound, which made everything incredibly cheap, while being of very high american quality. To the english they are almost 2 months ahead, what they have out now we will see shortly, and usually it will be cheaper over there.
