Bideford Bay - Park Resorts Site (Devon) Reviews

Newest Review: ... them we wanted accommodation on the flat and near a car park so that mother could walk with help to car from caravan as she has a walking stick. What we got was a steep hill, caravan with no number on it. We worked out that it was our caravan by the baby high chair...unpacking and carrying stuff from car to van would have been impossible so rang reception to be moved. They had to use a golf cart to get mum down as she would have been stranded otherwise. I had to go back down to the car backwards as no handrail. All this carrying a 12 month old. We asked to be moved, they gave us a chalet which was dirty, fixtures and fittings did not wo... more

do not go here..... why...staff are rude and do not care about their visitors....fobbed off when we complained that what we got was not what we booked. We booked a caravan with silver plus rating..we clearly told them we wanted accommodation on the flat and near a car park so that mother could walk with help to car from caravan as she has a walking stick. Just come back from a fantastic weekend at bideford bay. The park was lovely and we really enjoyed watching the rabbits play on the grass outside our chalet. The chalet was spotless and huge, it was two chalets knocked into one. would deffinately stay again and recomend to family and friends.

Have just come back from Bideford Bay. After reading all the previous reviews i was to say the least, a bit worried. But everything has changed since last year - a brand new club house, beautifully refurbished, as is the brand new kitchen. Food was pretty good, wouldn't say a five star restaurant but nice enough. A new terrace with comfortable chairs to sit and have a drink or watch your children playing. The site was clean and well looked after and the staff very friendly and helpful.I can see that the site would be difficult for people in wheelchairs/disabilities because it is very hilly.I am sorry for all those people that were so disappointed last year but...........you should see the site now!!!

On arrival we were informed that the accomodation type we had booked was not available and that we had been downgraded. We were given no choice but to accept what they offered. We had to wait three days before they told us what refund we could expect at which point they fobbed us off with a figure that was three times what we were eventually refunded a month later. The site was miles from anywhere, very hilly, we had a big problem with wasps due to the bins being so close to our caravan and the clubhouse was unimpressive with extremely smelly toilets.
