Advantages: Easy access around the van, lots of turning space for wheelchair

Disadvantages: All the bedroom space in one room, no floor space in the other

This was chosen as a holiday spot for October due to the closeness of amenities in Filey, Scarborough and Bridlington and of course the on-site facilities.

A disabled caravan was required and for a very fair price we found ourselves with an exceptional caravan. Sited close to the entertainment and shops it had a ramp and wide access. On entering the wide hallway there was a sliding door to the adapted bathroom and another to the very large double bedroom. The bedroom had a super turning area for a wheel chair and accessible sockets & lights from wheel chair height. I had been pre warned there was a step into the shower area which was OK. A good strong rail at the side of the loo was gratefully received and the easy access by chair to the sitting area was a bonus.

As the hire was for an adapted caravan the beds were made up prior to arrival and we seem to have been upgraded as there was heating in each of the 2 bedrooms. This was much needed as the weather during the night was horrendous but we were cosy in our beds.

Access to the entertainment itself was easy, as we expected from a Haven site. It was the caravan which blew us away.
