My son recently celebrated his 9th birthday and, although he’d had a party with his friends the day before, my parents were visiting, so we decided to go out for an impromptu early evening meal. In addition to having two children who are quite poor eaters, my parents, who are in their 70s, are becoming increasingly fussy too, and won’t touch anything ‘foreign’ or ‘smothered in sauce’, so many of the restaurants in the area were quickly eliminated. We settled for Brewsters which we felt would be suitable for everyone, and where we could have a meal at a reasonable price. Myself and Glenn boh had a couple of days off work last week so we decided to go out for a nice lunch together. There was a discount voucher in the local paper the night before so we thought we'd use it and have lunch at Brewsters after much thinking about going to Pizza Hut for as much as you can eat for £5.49. Well it wasn't long and I was really wishing that we had gone to Pizza Hut.... I had been to this restaurant in the past and had been satisfied with my meal and the service that I had received but not this time. Brewsters is owned by the Whitbread Group and aims to deliver outlets with an atmosphere aimed at families with children. They currently have over 140 outlets across the country and have plans to expand further. Normally they are situated in built up areas, near main through roads and quite usually next to a Travel Inn motel, this is because Travel Inn is another member of the Whitbread Group.
