Bury market is officially the best market in Britain and has won the award on several occasions. The full market is open every Wednesday, Friday and Saturday with the market hall open daily, there is also a very good fish and meat market to. The stall owners I find are friendly, genuine and down to earth people who you can always have a laugh/banter with. There are so many stalls you can buy pretty much anything you want there, shop (slight) seconds in clothing, shoes, tools anything to your fruit and veg, and being Located next to the Interchange and Metrolink its ideal for easy transport to and from Bury town centre, coach trips are available from most nearby places and I've known coaches to come as far as Chesterfield or York (maybe further). Burys Market is World Famous and I would definitely recommended a trip, but be warned, allow yourself a good few hours to walk round.

Summary: 10/10 AS FAR AS MARKETS GO.
