Advantages: most things

Disadvantages: can be quite expensive

Recently both me and my boyfriend (both 18) visited butlins bognor regis on a monday to friday break. We stayed in silver bed and breakfast accomodation and we got that relatively cheap as it was out of main holiday season. The accomadation was a bit standard a bed and a bathroom with coffee and tea making facilities some storage space but thats all you need surely? There were parts that i would say needed refurbishing (but thats me being picky) also one of our lights wernt working so we mentioned it to accomodation reception and they sorted it out very quickly :) you dont spend too much time in the room and we got used to it soon enough. The food was good and there was no queuing like most people mention as it was out of season, there was alot of choice that changed most nights and it was all you can eat and the chips were really nice :).

During the day there was lots to do, we really enjoyed swimming and spent a good few hours in there going on all the flumes and slides etc..When the weather was ok you can go on the fair howvwer the umbrella ride wasnt working and you have to pay 4.00 to go on the go- karts. Also you dont have to stay on campus you could always go into bognor town which was nice.

I have to say about Butlins is that you do end up spending quite alot of money on arcades , rides and drink. The bottles of VK cost 3.30 in the bars and in the shop it was 3.29 for a bottle nearly 3 times the size.
I have also been silver self catering with my family before and the acccomodation was excellent very nice.
There is plenty of choices to eat and lots of bars and things to do such as bowling ( which you have to pay a bit extra for) and darts which is free :) From experience it is an expensive holiday self catering with a big family. However for a break for two dinner bed and breakfast and if you get the spending right its ok.

The entertainment during term time is a bit samey but ok and we saw a good few bands whilst there. We met a few nice people and got along well, all the staff are friendly and helpful and we would deffo go back again. With the new hotel and everything it gets very very busy on main holiday times which is a major problem and i think they should consider expanding to accomadate all the people there?

Summary: a good time
