Up until last year, I went to Butlins 3 times in 5 years - twice at Skegness and the last time at Bognor Regis. I never took my family to Minehead, partly as I used to live in Taunton, so to me was pretty local, but more what I placed on the location which was pretty run down, and until recently didn't even have a beach. Since visiting ...

Fantastic holiday, can't wait to go back! I had never been before and was very tempted to cancel a week before when I had read all the bad reviews but we decided to go and see what it was like. Our gold accomodation was spotless, the oven and microwave looked brand new, the bathroom was clean, I couldn't fault it one bit. From the ...

Our accomodation was great, i'd read bad reviews on the standard of the rooms, but was pleasently surprised (they actually put us in 3 bed apt, we only booked 2 bed) The lounge area was nice and spacious and kitchen had everything you needed for self catering. It was silver accomadation. We went for Circus circus, which was 3 days of clowns and ...

What a nightmare. It was chaotic from the moment we arrived. Ive had five children so am used to the noise that they can make but this was on a different level. When we were allowed into our room (I say room loosely as a shoe box would be more appropriate)we were lucky if we could get our case in as well as us. There was a small double ...

My family and I visited Butlins Bognor Regis for February half term last year. I was a bit dubious about staying here however I have to say I was pleasantly suprised and enjoyed a fantastic midweek break. I had never stayed at a Butlins before as we normally venture abroad however due to having a young baby and a weeks holiday to take before April ...

Having been to all 6 Butlins camps of yester year and all 3 of them since they trimmed them down and built the enormous Skyline pavilions at each of them, I have to say I am extremely disappointed with the direction Butlins seems to be going. Sure, the magic is obviously still there for the children, that is never going to change, but for the ...

I have just returned from butlins with my 8 year old sister and partner for the October half term week. We stayed in a silver plus apartment which was more than pleasant and provided us with enough space. The only negative we found in the accomodation itself (other than the noisy family above us - which is not butlins fault) was the shower, it was ...

I was in dire need of some space away from the day-to-day routine and having seen a deal for a few days at Butlins, Bognor, I thought it would be a perfect getaway when watching the pennies. I took my mother along too as she needed a break... I can't say either of us felt like we had a 'holiday'. -...:: The Price ...

went to Butlins Bognor last week got thrown out cause the bar staff served my 17 yr old son with drink without asking for id and he started shouting around at my daughter boyfriend, cause he was drunk so sercurity threw my son out that night and the rest of us nxt morn. My son has never been in trouble before it was just one of those things and we all suffered. The security there is 0 tollerance, but what if my son got hurt when he was thrown out walking along the sea front with no where to go? We come from Oxford. The nxt morn we was all thrown out with my 11 month old grandaughter in the bad weather with no where to go. Feel hurt that butlins can treat me like this when ive been coming here since my kids were little. 2008

I have just returned from a 4 night break at Butlins in Bognor with my 4 and 6yr old plus another single mum, her 6yr old and her 14mth old. Have to admit I was dreading it. I am ashamed to say I had a preconceived idea that it would be full of chavs and tackiness. Oh how I'm eating my words now. On arrival the staff were ...

I am suppose to be on my week holiday in Butlins, Bogna Regis, but instead i am at home comfy and happy. I have never been to a worse place in my life!! I went with my sixteen month old son and we both discovered there was nothing for him to do. He got so bored going round and round a little track in a car. There's a huge climbing frame for older ...

Wife and I went to Butlins Bognor for one week, not out of choice, but with a newspaper offer (choose four parks, we got Butlins). This was our first visit.
Accommodation: We got a downstairs chalet, in a row, which was very basic, tatty and looked like it had been patched up every year since the sixties.
The cost for accommodation was £130, although the true cost without the offer was £250. Would NEVER pay £250 for substandard accommodation.
No kids, so the rip off prices for entertainment didn't affect us.
We bought all food, including takeaways, and booze, from town as everything on site was overpriced. However we would go back and tolerate the poor quality chalets as the town and promenade are clean and very attractive.

"I want to be a Redcoat and dance with Billy Bear" - The big idea of Butlins is that Redcoats are always available to provide structured entertainment sessions for your children. This relieves you of the burden of having to keep your children occupied for hour after hour. This is a great theory but it does have certain ...

We have just come back from a four day break at butlins bogner regis. I would love to say it was a really happy experience but i think if i was honest i would tell the truth and say that it was a big disappointment. I think it is geared for older children, mine are four and two and they found that there was not really much for them to do, apart ...
