I have visited Butlins in Minehead now on several occasions for the 60's themed weekends. We go in a group of around 60, we all stay in the old style chalets and are half board and pay around £120 for 4 days and 3 nights. It is a long old drive from the midlands but is worth it. I have only ever been in the winter, as the adult ... Read the complete review

With three small children, my Husband and I thought that i might not be a great idea (or a cheap one) to go abroad on holiday this year. I visited Butlins as a child quite a few times, so we looked into that, and picked a week at the beginning of August. Its not as cheap as Haven or Pontins, but having had a terrible experience of the ... Read the complete review

If you are looking for a cheap and cheerful place to take the kids for a short break, with activities on tap and a beach on your doorstep, the Butlin's fits the criteria. In term time you can get deals for about £30 per person, which increases fairly substantially in the school holidays. There are numerous characters and events to keep ... Read the complete review

you either love it or hate it. Ive been 3 times now and so feel i can give a good overall picture of this type of holiday. Ive always booked the same time each year that being April and the price has always been amazingly cheap compared to the prices in say july and august.admittedly ive taken the kids in term time so that keeps the cost ... I went to Butlins Minehead on the weekend just for the day with the Sunday School kids outing. I thought that Butlins was an ideal place to visit with this type of group as there was plenty of different things to do throughout the day with most activities included in the admission price. When we got in the first thing we did was get a ... Read the complete review

I went to Bulins Minehead for the weekend before February Half Term. I went with my 9 year old niece and my 6 month old son . We booked standard accommodation and went half board. It was a cheap deal as 'first child free' offer and you only pay £10 for an infant cot. Our accommodation was basic but warm and dry, the sheets were clean, ... Read the complete review

Butlins is known as one of the top venues in the UK for a family holiday so we paid it a visit (Minehead) with my pregnant wife and my four year old son and two year old daughter: Both children really enjoyed the location, the main point in Minehead Butlins is the Skyline which is a central indoor point (which is designed a bit like a ... Having read some of the other reviews about Butlins Minehead, I just wanted to write about our experience there. We went last year in the Easter holidays, and had a really good time. (It was the quietest week of the holidays, apparently, as they were so long last year) As some have said before, it is definitely one for the kids, and if we had gone ... Read the complete review

Having been a frequent visitor to Butlins since being a very small child, I always look forward to my holidays there and this was no different. I hadn't been to the Minehead camp since they reduced the number of camps from 6 to 3 and erected the huge Skyline pavilions at the remaining 3 camps of Minehead, Skegness and Bognor Regis, so wasn't ... Butlins Minehead ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Me and three of my friends visited Butlins Minehead last year. We were looking around and originally were going to stay in Alton Towers for a night and return the next day, when we spotted the three night break, for just £39 each (yes, that was it - £39 for the 3 nights, not per night!) ... We looked at buying a caravan a few years ago at Butlins Minehead. The salesman was quite pushy and insisted on paying this years fees for this and that. We bided our time and made some enquiries and found a few people had had problems with the sales/support team on the caravan site after they had bought the caravan. They struggled to ... Myself and my partner went to Butlins June 08. I must say I have been spoilt with many breaks to Centre Parcs as I used to work their and get it relatvely cheap. This was the first time I had been to butlins, I had read many a review advising of bad and good things. We arrived on the Friday night and we had to wait for our ... Read the complete review

Butlins Minehead provided a great background for our week's holiday with our grandchildren. I had read very poor reviews and was almost afraid to take up our booking in late July 2008 but I need not have worried. It was great for all of us. We went to Butlins Minehead Aug 08 in our touring caravan, there were only 50 caravan pitches, which were all grass pitches and very boggy, some people were ankle deep in mud and water, and they didnt get much help from staff either to resolve their problems. The toilet block was a porta cabin, with a row of about 8 toilets with sinks oppersite ... My family and I, plus 46 others from our church have just returned from a 6 day Christian holiday at Butlins Minehead. I was a little apprehensive before going as I had read several negative reviews (on here) on the cleanliness, quality of apartments and general service. Today I have just got back from Butlins Minehead......dont think I will go again. It is noisy and not much of a break to be honest...... Accommodation very basic for a silver and was woke up by noisy neighbours at 2 am in the morning stayed at Lakeshore and was also woke up by some of the rowdy holiday residents at different times...went dinner bed and breakfast and the fresh juice was soooo watered down it might as well have been squash. The coffee was awful at first improved when I tried later that day. Over-rated.
