Butlins (Minehead) Reviews

I`ve been going to Butlins for 40+ years and I don`t like the changes! Gone has the value for money, family or quiet adult, break. Now there are rowdy adult breaks and extras to pay for the kids. The last adult break I went to this year, we witnessed smashed windows, fights, foul language, and kicking of neighbouring doors. And there were rats (rodents)seen!!!
As a Butlins premier member I am having second thoughts!!

I cannot believe jacinta1982 went to butlins minehead!! We have just got back from there. The place is a dump, Gold appartment DB&B, what a disgrace, the carpets, flooring and sofas were sticky with grime, white socks turned brown in minutes. Butlins minehead, one word can discribe it and that is DUMP. I felt like I was at colditz, chalets which are falling to bits and more like chicken shed with authentic bird poo all over the outsides of the buildings and paths covered in duck poo. My experiences were similar to cipenman - written on 05.08.06 but we didnt stay around to be fobbed off. We left Butlins & our Silver room a few hours after arriving because the room was unclean and straight out of the 70's. We accepted the fact that the room needed redecorating etc, but did not accept that it was dirty. We paid extra to stay in a Silver Bungalow for 7 nights. This was our 3rd visit to Butlins in 3 years and is going to be our last. butlins is a graet place to go and is very cheap. i would recomend it to anyone who likes a nice holiday. i just got back from butlins and it was brilliant. I would give the entertainment 10 out of 10. if u like a good holiday then go there. The food was brilliant.
