Advantages: well worth the money

Disadvantages: not many

Been going to Butlins Skegness since september 2004 and since then me and my family have been 6 times
Each time we go, we go silver half board
The rooms are very comfortable and clean, with maids coming in daily to tidy up
The food is good, i am a fussy eater, and if i think something doesnt look smell or teaste rite i just wont touch it, but at butlins each time it has been great, and on many occasions iv got up for more and more, going home after putting on pounds. You also get tea ,coffee, and soft drinks included with your meals.
The nite time entertainment is good and at times very enjoyable,
but over the past year id say bourne liesure have as it seems cut down on that side.
Kids, well let kids speack for them selves and id say from my kids point of view they love it, and there is so much for them to do, you cant pack it all in, and as they get older they want to do more
The splash water world is really very good, wuth the 3 diferant flowing water slides, then the master blaster and space bowl, plus the wave pool and the rapid pool, it is just fun to be had
The fun fair is ok but may be could be upgraded, but still it is value for money as it is all included in the price.
The redcoats are good too, as they go round the resort and interact with the kids, taking them on fun fair rides you yourself wont go on, and just being total kids themselves, it just makes the day for the kids and to see their faces lite up is well worth it.
If you want to do things outside the resort, then again there is plenty on offer, Skegness is a big fun place to love and enjoy.
I would say dont knock it till you have tried it, like me, then you will just end up love love loving it
