I've never visited the Minehead site, mainly as it was only 24 miles from Taunton (where I used to live) it felt too local, Minehead was little run-down and as until recently it didn't even have a beach. I've been to Skegness twice, and of the 2 Butlins sites I've visited in my mind this has to be the better one. Luckily, on the 3 ...

I have just come back from a week in butlins skegness. We have a 2.5year old daughter and we thouroughly enjoyed our break away. We were worried at first because the break was so cheap we thought it would be rubbish but we couldnt have been more wrong. We booked a silver half board room(£295) - the room was immaculate, tastefully decorated, clean, ...

I stayed at butlins skegness 2 years ago now with my husband and at the time 12 month old baby. The complex itself was very good, clean and lots for the younger ones to do. The accomodation was shocking though, it was pure filth, we stayed in standard accomodation but I at least expected it to be clean but we had to clean it before we slept as it ...

We spent a memorable long weekend at the Sixties Soul Weekend Break at the Skegness Butlins in the Spring of 2000. It was brilliant. My best mate's brother-in-law, Steve, booked it over the internet and most of her family went - Steve, his wife, 2 kids and a friend, my mate and her hubby, one of her kids and his girlfriend, and me. Enough of us to ...

I visit Skegness a lot, as my Gran owns a caravan on the Butlins site. I have been visiting since i was little, as it's a great place to visit for any age and somewhere you never get bored off. Also being next to the seaside, it's a great place to visit throughout. Butlins in Skegness is host too many facilities and event. This includes ...

We have visited butlins skegness for the last two years. Both visits have been during the february half term. *The booking process* We paid for the holiday using tesco clubcard deals. This meant we had to book by phone and pay for the full brochure price. However the vouchers were treated as cash and we had no problem using ...

Logistically, the Butlins camp in Skegness is the easiest to get to if you live anywhere north of London. The camp itself has not really been renovated since the company trimmed its camps from 6 to 3 and erected the hugely impressive Skyline pavilions at the remaining 3 camps in Minehead, Bognor Regis and Skegness, so that needs addressing fairly ...

We went to Butlins Skegness over the christmas period and I must say it was the worse experience we have had at Butlins especially over christmas. We went to Centre Stage the night we got there 23/12/08 and we had to wear wrist bands which we all had but because they weren't round our wrists the security on the door (as if it was a night club in a ...

We were lucky enough to get Butlins at Skegness as the location for our £9.50 sun holiday. I had high expectations having visited Minehead Butlins about 20 years earlier and loved every minuet of my time there. Arrival -------- Check in for standard accommodation was at 4pm. When you enter the grounds you are pointed ...

12 of us have just been on my daughters hen party we booked in the standard accom didn't expect too much but what we got was disgusting. i wouldn,t even leave a dog in it. the appartment was filthy, stickey carpets, mouldy shower curtains black mould all round the bath room it still had previous occupants dirty socks and used toothbrush. you couldnt sit on the mouldy damp sofa and the kitchen was covered in burnt stains. as for the beds they all tilted down towards the wall holes in the sheets and human hair in nearly all beds. and the dust was at least inch thick everywhere. we complained and were moved up a standard what a difference, ??for the price they charge cant see why they cant upgrade the accom as for the camp loads of entertainment close to beach shame about accomomdation. clean it. or loose it.

Just come back from a family holiday at Butlin's Skegness and thought a review was in order. Not done dooyoo.com for a while, so stick with me! We are a family of four, including a four-year old and a baby. I used to go to Butlin's in the late 80s/early 90's as a teenager with my parents and siblings, and things have changed a lot. ...

What a dump! I have just returned from a week of misery in what can only be described as a refugee camp with slot machines. It's cheap to book the accomodation but everything else comes at a premium.
Waterworld is not bad apart from it closing four times this week for staff to remove POO from the pools! And if you think this standard of accomodation is good then you don't have high standards. NEVER EVER will i go here again. It's a dirty filthy smelly hole of a place. The money i spent would have taken me and my two sons to sunny spain for the same price. Adios Butlins.

I've only been to Butlins once and that was for the Brass Band weekend in January 08. Me and my partner primarily booked a silver room just a bedroom and bathroom. We arrived there late however and found that we had been upgraded to a silver apartment. I wasn't complaining. We now had an extra bathroom with an additional lounge and kitchen. This ...

been going to Butlins in Skegness since i was 18 as this was where i got my first job,i,m now 41 and still find time to take in all the things that Skeggy has to offer. Here it is not just for children but for all ages and the entertainment is first class. My 13 yr old son loves going as it gives him the things he loves to do free. I have been to Butlins twice and i have not had a problem with them yet. The accommodation is clean but basic, having said that i did chose standard accommodation.
