We just came back from a 7 day break. Wish it was shorter, WHAT A DUMP! Accomodation was standard so did'nt expect loads, but I expected it to be clean. Like hell it was. You had to wear shoes constantly the floor was so filthy, you could NOT sit on the sofas they were so disgusting, mouldy shower, dirty bathroom, burnt units in kitchen, damp ... Just come back from a family holiday at Butlin's Skegness and thought a review was in order. Not done dooyoo.com for a while, so stick with me! We are a family of four, including a four-year old and a baby. I used to go to Butlin's in the late 80s/early 90's as a teenager with my parents and siblings, and things have changed a lot. ... What a dump! I have just returned from a week of misery in what can only be described as a refugee camp with slot machines. It's cheap to book the accomodation but everything else comes at a premium.
Waterworld is not bad apart from it closing four times this week for staff to remove POO from the pools! And if you think this standard of accomodation is good then you don't have high standards. NEVER EVER will i go here again. It's a dirty filthy smelly hole of a place. The money i spent would have taken me and my two sons to sunny spain for the same price. Adios Butlins.

I've only been to Butlins once and that was for the Brass Band weekend in January 08. Me and my partner primarily booked a silver room just a bedroom and bathroom. We arrived there late however and found that we had been upgraded to a silver apartment. I wasn't complaining. We now had an extra bathroom with an additional lounge and kitchen. This ... been going to Butlins in Skegness since i was 18 as this was where i got my first job,i,m now 41 and still find time to take in all the things that Skeggy has to offer. Here it is not just for children but for all ages and the entertainment is first class. My 13 yr old son loves going as it gives him the things he loves to do free. You can not fault the resort or the staff as they will try to cater to your every need. my son wants to go again this year and i am not the sort of person to disapoint him.

I have been to Butlins twice and i have not had a problem with them yet. The accommodation is clean but basic, having said that i did chose standard accommodation. The Rides are good the only one you have to pay for in the fairground is the go cart (£4) but I have to say it is exiting. The staff are friendly a polite and any problem ... Read the complete review

Just spent a week at Butlins Skegness in standarda Accommodation. The accommodation was unclean, cramp and very very damp. Found out that parts had flooded in the rain a few weeks before, no where to move as full. TV reception poor, no mobile signalling. Haven't had a break since July so really needed something to do to heighten my spirits. I saw the £9.50 holidays in the sun & thought well why not. I live near the seaside so put down for 4 anywhere near us & we ended up getting Butlins in Skegness, which was quite a surprise. Not a great one at that because we really wanted a nice little ... I have to admit, we only go to Butlins because we live in Scotland and my family all live in and around Skegness, so its a natural holiday choice... But anyway, I shall remain impartial and unbiased @:-) THE GENERAL IDEA: Butlins is mainly set up for children. A bit like a toned down version of Disneyland without the ... Read the complete review

Having just returned from Butlins at Skegness I thought I would write about our experience! This is based around having young children under the age of 5! Butlins at Skegness is on the A52 road and is very well signed posted to find it! It's not far from Maplethorpe! It says in the brochure that you can see the main pavilion ... Sometimes, thankfully not too often, life in our house gets a little bit too much to bear. These are the times when we grab for the Butlins brochure, work out how soon we can afford to get away, and then run for it as fast as we can, as soon as we can. The purpose of writing this op is of course to share with you my personal opinion about ... Read the complete review
