I had heard lots of things about Center Parcs and mostly it was everyone saying "its really expensive and you have to pay for everything"... so was always put off by it. So never really thought about it. I use lots of discount codes so when I found a great discount code for Center Parcs I thought I would have a ...  Read the complete review

Booking The Centre Parcs website was easy to use and find accommodation that would be suitable. You just select your preferences and it thinks about it for a minute and spills out some suitable lodges in various price brackets. We initially booked a Comfort lodge, however, after speaking to some people we upgraded to the newer Woodland ...  Read the complete review

As a family we have been visiting Center Parcs Whinfell Forest since before it became part of the Center Parcs chain and it was called Oasis! Our original reason for visiting was for somewhere to take our (at that time) 2 year old twin girls for a family break which did not involve A. travelling too far B. being away ...  Read the complete review

In my opinion, Centre Parcs Whinfell is a bit like Marmite, you either love it or hate it. I hate Marmite, couldnt get used to riding a bike everywhere. The chinese take away wasn't as good as my local. Quad biking was pricey for two £80, and if you cant handle the Quadbike you wont get a refund. Prices in the on site mini market arent very ...  Read the complete review

Organising a holiday for my extended family, which numbers around 20 people with ages from 3 to 63, can sometimes be a challenge...to put it mildly! Finding somewhere that everyone can agree on, afford, and enjoy without wanting to throttle each other at the end of the holiday is never easy, but thank the lord for the creators of Center Parcs, ...  Read the complete review

I had never been to Centre Parcs until a couple of months ago when I went there on a hen do, and always had the impression it would be like Butlins (ie very cheesy, but I haven't been to Butlins either so may have the wrong impression of there too!). I was pleasantly surprised in many ways. We rented a couple of basic chalets with ...  Read the complete review

I have been to centre-parcs several times but only to centre-parcs whinfell forest once. Prior to it becomming a centre parcs it was an oasis, this means that unlike centre parcs sherwood forest it has most of it's ammenities under a large white dome, rather than in the setting of an outside villiage. This doe's not detract from the overall ...  Read the complete review

A short introduction is perhaps useful for those people who are not familiar with Center Parcs generally. Center Parcs is a group of holiday villages in Britain and Europe. They are generally all set in wooded countryside, often with a small lake as well. Accomodation is primarily in wooden lodges sleeping between 2 and 8 people. There's lots of ...  Read the complete review

I have been to Whinfell Forest many times over the last few years. When I first visited it was Oasis and not owned by Center Parcs. If I am honest I did prefer it then, but I still love the place. I have stayed in both lodges and apartments which have always been clean, comfortable and spacious. There are many places to eat out ...  Read the complete review

Having just returned from Center Parcs - Whinfell Forest and having a fantastic 41st Birthday, I would like to let you know what a relaxing place it is. I visited here with a group of friends, in total 8 of us stayed in a four bed executive lodge Friday to Monday. This worked out at only £70 each for the stay! The lodge was ok, for the money it was very good value despite having some complaints. Firstly the lodge was VERY clean, in particular the bathrooms and kitchen area. I used to come to Center Parcs Whinfell Forest when I was much younger, and it used to be owned by Oasis, until Center Parcs bought it. There is probably no way I can give justice to this place in less that a thousand words. I'll give it a go. In one sentence: If you can afford it - go! Why? Because there is no where that quite reaches the standards this place hits. Not that I've ever seen. I've been 3 times in 5 years. Oasis is a 'community' of ...  Read the complete review
