I have to say this week I have really enjoyed watching the Chelsea Flower Show. It has been on for an hour every night with one and a half hours on Friday.

The Chelsea Flower Show is a yearly event hosted by the Royal Horticultural Society - It is by far the most prestigious flower show of the year. You can get tickets from the Royal Horticultural Society website but they dont come cheap at over £40 (its cheaper if youre a member of the RHS)

The show starts on a Monday but the public arn't allowed in until Wednesday (after the prizes are awarded on Tuesday).

The prizes go in order as follows...
Gold
Silver Gilt
Silver
Bronze.

Of course everyone is aiming for the gold but very few are given out, especially for the show gardens.

You can also buy gardening equipment and plants at the Chelsea Flower Show, in fact on Saturday they sell most things off a bit cheaper so if you're looking for a bargain go then.

If you cannot afford the ticket or time off watch the show from your living room. The BBC do excellent coverage with Alan Titchmarsh presenting. I normally don't like the BBC but this is something they do get right!
