Advantages: A good few to choose from

Disadvantages: Showcase was very noiy

Liverpool is a very large city and therefore it does boast a number of cinemas including the Showcase, which i will not visit anymore due to the amount of idiots who insist on talking through the film, the Odeon, of which there are several in the city and FACT, which is my favourite.

The brand new multiplex Odeon in Liverpool 1 has 16 screens, and is ultra modern with comfortable seating and ample seating. As you enter the cinema you will find a ticketing area where you can select the film you want to see, the time you want to see it and purchase your tickets from the machine. There is an extra charge for premier seating. If you really want to splash out with some friends you can choose your own box with unlimited popcorn and drinks. Great for a day out because it is situated within the new Liverpool 1 shopping centre.

Showcase Cinema is not one i would recommend. I have visited this cinema twice and on both occassions, bunches of scallywags talked and threw things during the films and were very abusive when told to be quiet.

FACT is a fabulous cinema. It is based on Wood Street which is situated off Bold street and is not just a cinema but an experience in all things artistic. FACT has several screens, showing a mix of arty films and the latest releases. There is a small cafe area, with free internet access and a gift shop on the ground floor, selling books, cards etc. The first floor boasts a bar with ample, comfortable seating so you can grab a long cool drink whilst you wait for the film of your choice to start. What i love about fact is the seating in the cinema. The seats tip back and there is plenty of leg room so you always feel comfortable, even if you are watching a 3 hour film. On the top floor, where the cinemas are, you find a small shop selling drinks, popcorn, sweets etc and this is the floor on which the cinemas are situated.

Fact is an experience and a sincerely good night out.

Summary: Overall, good facilities
