Advantages: Huge screens and comfy seats

Disadvantages: Overpriced and with a lack of choice for nibbles

Cineworld, Valley Centertainment, Sheffield
In my opinion this is the best cinema in Sheffield, if nothing else the seating arrangement earns it that title, each row is higher than the one before in a manner that it doesn't matter if you are the shrimp and there's a giant in front of you, it won't matter at all, everyone can see.
What's more, when someone gets up to leave the auditorium at any time, there's plenty of space to get past everyone else who remains seated.
The entrance way is huge, this is where the tickets are purchased, friends meet and food is bought, there's also a mezzanine level which has a drinks bar for those making a night of it. The drinks are a little overpriced and the atmosphere seems a little strange to me, so it is far form my ideal but then I don't want to be fuzzed by alcohol whilst I watch a film.
The food is usual cinema fodder, hot dogs, popcorn, sweets and chocolate with a selection of soft drinks. Hugely overpriced and limited to certain selections but I still love their hotdogs, despite being full of junk and so on, they still taste great!
The toilets are pretty decent, clean, not especially smelly and each door has a star on it with a actor or actresses name, as if each cubicle is the dressing room of a film star, for some reason that still tickles me.
The screens are enormous in most of the cinemas and there are staggered showings to suit everyone with particular attention paid to recent and much awaited releases. There's The Full Monty screen too, an allusion to Sheffield's film history where the biggest release of the time is shown. I saw Batman in there recently which was a big screen triumph.
There are also kids clubs and other facilities to suit young children and, I'm assured, a possibility of reconsidering cinema showings for parents with babies.
All in all, it's pricey but comfortable and people still go, in fact I'm told it's the busiest cinema in England.
You would be looking at £4.60 per child and for adults at earlier times. £5.60 plus for later showings, post 6pm.
It's barely cheaper for a hotdog and popcorn goes up to around £5.00 ish.

Summary: Not a cheap treat.

Wish our cineworld has as clean toilets though, they need a massive overhall!
