Advantages: Chain, lots of movies
Disadvantages: Not always clean
Cineworld cinemas used to go by the name 'UGC' I think. I've been to them in both Didsbury and Nottingham, and had similar experiences at both.
The cinemas themselves aren't anything particularly special. When you walk in you can see the overpriced sweets and food, the ticket queue, etc. You can buy student tickets for a reduced price; you can also often use expired student cards *cough* as they don't check very closely.
The screens themselves seem to vary; in the Didsbury one they aren't particularly clean always, and neither are the toilets (though they are getting better and I think it depends on the day). They have also introduced Ben and Jerry's sundaes which are loooovely but expensive. In Nottingham, if you walk in carrying a bag they will ask you what's in it. However, they ask politely and I offered to let them look once - all I'd bought was cleaning stuff - but they said it was ok. They look for outside food brought in rather than recording equipment.
The screens vary in size depending on how new/popular the movie is, as with most cinemas. The seats are nothing special - comfortable, but lacking the tilt-back action that can be found in Showcase.
They also offer a card where you can pay a set amount per month for unlimited trips. I don't think I go to the cinema enough for that and I enjoy free screenings and previews too much to pay for the cinema that often, but my friend signed up and likes it. They also have a kids' club where you get a free ticker on your birthday.
Summary: Very average
