Advantages: Good value with an unlimited card

Disadvantages: sweets/drinks are over priced

The Cineworld in Nottingham has 14 screens, and most of the movies are shown several times a day, so I find that I can pretty much watch a film at my convenience instead of being dictated to by show times. The screens are of varying size, and have disabled access.

I have an unlimited card for which I pay £11.99 per month by Direct Debit, and I can honestly say this is one of the best investments I've made. It's encouraged me to see films that I wouldn't usually have seen, and I only have to go twice a month for it to financially be worth my while. They have a separate queue for Unlimited customers, which is great if you go when it's busy and you can also use orange Wednesdays with an Unlimited card, so you can effectively take a friend to see a film for free!

The prices for tickets are:

Adult £6.90
Child/student £4.90
Family ticket £20.60

I believe they offer concessions if you visit during a week day and it's even cheaper before 12 noon.

Weekdays are my favourite time to visit the cinema, they are almost empty (usually myself and 4 or 5 others) and I can really get into my film. The seats are comfortable and large, and have cup holders to hold drinks. I do find the confectionary and the drinks very over priced, a 500ml bottle of water is £1.60! So I tend to take my own.

The staff are usually friendly and helpful, but seem very young. The staff on the ticket counter can seem a little hassled on a Saturday, but I've never personally experienced any problems, other one occasion where I was asked for ID to see an 18 film (I'm 26!)

Cineworld is one of my favourite places to escape the world for a few hours, whether it be with friends to see the latest blockbuster or on my own to watch a period drama or animated childrens film.

Summary: Great place to escape the world

I would totally get an unlimited card if it wasn't for the fact that I really need to study! Can you cancel an unlimited card if you don't use it anymore or is it a contract? Also, don't feel offended for being ID'd. If there's anything I've learnt at Tesco, judging when someone should be ID'd is difficult (Think 21 and all that). You must be very youthful looking ^_^
