Gallowhill campsite in Kinross is simple but effective. We went in July, when the weather was fine during the day and downpouring from tea-time onwards but our kids had a ball. The campsite is cheap (2 adults for 11 quid and kids free under 7) and basic but with lots of space. It is on a farm close to Milnathort and there is a decent shower block with all the usual amenities : showers, toilets, sinks, washing machine and tumble drier. It has a coded entry as people kept leaving with the keys even though they had to pay a deposit!
