“ Self-catering holiday parks across the UK. „
Greenacres is part of the Haven Group and is located in Porthmadog in North Wales. It has a wide range of facilities and offers both tourer pitches and self catering static caravans for customers use. It is in an excellent location directly next to Black Rock Sands beach and only a short drive away from the town of Portmadog.
I recently stayed here with my family in a static caravan. It was quite pricey and cost £300 for 3 nights, however shared between us this equated to quite little individually. The amount also included funworks passes which allow you to enjoy the entertainment and facilities on offer.
On arrival you go to reception where they will advise you where your caravan is provide you with a map and give you the keys for the caravan. It is quick and easy to check in and they are helpful and friendly. It is easy to navigate around the park.
In the main entertainment area there is a large arcade, bar, restaurant, indoor swimming pool, outdoor water fun area, park and a shop which stocks many items ideal for self catering purposes. There prices are not too steep either and it saves you a trip into town. The evening entertainment is very good and great fun.
A short walk through the park will lead you onto Black Rock Sands which is a lovely beach with plenty of space.
Overall this is a great British holiday destination and would recommend it to persons looking for a short break.
Just got back from a weekend away at Greenacres. Had a fab time.
The price was a bit steep £400 for Friday to Monday but afterall it was bank holiday weekend and we booked last minute. If you book in advance it will be a lot cheaper. I would highly recommend a stay at Greenacres holiday park. Located in a great destination, Black Rock Sands beach and a 5minute drive to Porthmadog. You can either walk to the beach or you can drive on which will cost you £3.
The park is quite big its kept very tidy. Inside the complex they have a lot of entertainment for the kids and the big kids too (adults). They have a shop inside which sells just about everything you need for your stay. Burgerking if you don't fancy cooking in the caravan. There are lots of things to do in the complex but parents be aware you may spend lots of money with the kids
The swimming pool was a bit packed but still managed to have fun it opens 10 until 12 then re-opens 2 until 5.
I really enjoyed my stay wish I was still there, also they accept dogs which was a relief and she really enjoyed it too.
I have stayed here a few times both in a static caravan and a tourer. I have never paid full prices and booked in advance and have instead taken up the last minute offers which regularly feature on their website, which are much more reasonably priced. It is part of the Haven group and up to date prices and details on their other sites can be found on their website.
The site itself is situation near Portmadog in North Wales and has direct access to the fabulous Black Rock Sands which is a wonderfully long stretch of sandy beach. It is a large site with many amenities so is great for families and for those wanting plenty to do who dont mind a bit of noise from the on site club. If you are after a quiet and peaceful holiday then I wouldnt recommend this site to you however the location is fantastic and there are several other quieter sites situated along the same stretch of road.
You can hire caravans and there is a range of 6 standards, the most expensive and luxurious is Platinum which is described as being the ultimate in luxury and are truly a home from home. There are also Prestige, Superior Plus, Superior, Standard Plus and Standard. There is a touring part to the site also and again you can hire different types of plots such as standard, electric, and super serviced. You can also have a choice of a grass pitch or a hard standing.
There are ample facilities on the site such as an indoor swimming pool, outdoor splash zone, cafes, restaurants, bars, arcade, shops, kids clubs, football, tennis and archery to name a few. There is also an adventure playground and a bouncy castle on warmer days. There is also regular daytime and evening entertainment suitable for both young and old.
To hire a static, you can expect to pay anything from £50 for a weekend to £500 in peak seasons and tourer pitches range from £15 to £40 a night. The prices also include funworks passes which allow you access to all the facilities.
Overall it is a great site for families and is in a great location. The direct access to the beach is a big bonus and it is fantastic. Whether your after a quick weekend getaway or a long 2 week holiday, this place caters for all.
