Advantages: Fun, depends who you go with

Disadvantages: Go karting and queues

We have just returned from a break at Hafan Y Mor (Haven), North Wales. We stayed 4th May 2009 - 8th May 2009 and the holiday was with Sun Holidays.

In our party there was myself, my husband and our 1 year old son. We also had my brother in law and friend join us (aged 20).

I admit I was very apprehensive about the holiday. I had read some terrible things about the park and was dreading what we were going to. I wasn't overly concerned for us but I wanted the appartment to be clean for my son.

When the booking came through we had been allocated a 2 bedroom basic appartment. We were told though that for an extra £15 we could upgrade to 3 bedrooms and for an extra £20 could move to a comfort appartment. We decided to do this.

So, we were staying in a comfort appartment (on your booking it is called "luxury")

We arrived at 2pm and were told we could collect our keys but were not allowed in the room until 4pm. We parked the car (not in the main car park though as this was HEAVING!) but round the back. We then made our way to Broadway which is one of the entertainment venues. The queue for keys was madness, it was probably around 100 familes deep.
We waited for around half an hour for our key - which meant it was then 3.50pm. We decided to let ourselves into the room.

The appartment wasnt bad, considering the whole lot cost us £100. it had 3 2 seater sofas, a microwave and an electic oven. The bathroom was clean and consisted of a toilet and a shower. We then had a twin room, a bunk bed room and a double.

The site wasn't really that bad, I was quite suprised to be honest. I had read terrible reviews and yet it was OK. The entertainment was just what you would expect...no one can complain there. The kids loved it!

The place wasnt very clean I admit, you would stick to a few floors (!!) but you get what you pay for.

I would suggest vistors shop at the local Asda, around 3 miles away. Come out of the site and turn left, drive straight and you can't miss it. Also do the adventure golf, lots of fun!! I would give the go karting a miss, unless you are 11 or under.

Oh and last of all, try and slide and flumes at the pool, they are fab!! Enjoy!

PS Those who complain obviously go with miserable people!

Summary: Great for the money
